Tesco delivery. They substituted fabric softener because of no stock of laundry detergent.
I realise it is one of the hottest May days on record, but what woolly brained numpty thought that was a good idea?

Homemade spicy chicken curry leftovers for dinner tonight.
Counterintuitively one of the nicest things to eat when the weather is this hot.
Heaven.

Why can I not go to a band’s own online shop and buy their entire discography? Why can I only buy the latest album and maybe-if-I’m-lucky the prior album?
What contractual / licensing nonsense is going on there?

Whilst I'll never subscribe to Apple Music, the Apple Music app on macOS is proving useful.
Bought a couple of CD's recently and all I have to do to rip them to my laptop is attach a little ASUS DVD player, pop the CD in and let Apple Music just. ... rip the disc into my library.
Weirdly it needs manual intervention to download album art, but that's hardly a chore.

Related: I have just blocked (for their own protection) a handful of fedi users because they were being quite militant about this idea.

I'm tolerant. I'm left-leaning. I'm nearly 50 and think the pronouns stuff is a good idea.
I put stuff behind a content warning if it's likely to be found gross or deeply irritating (medical stuff, policital stuff).
Where I am going to draw a line is gating food pictures behind a content warning to appease the "it's a carcass on a plate" vegans.
My best friend in this entire world is and has been vegan for many years. He understands bacon can exist without it being offensive.

Saw the bike today. It looks nice. I'm somewhat intimidated to ride it.
It's being delivered some time this week.

I've spent £6k on a bicycle and bicycle related things.
£3k via the government's "cycle 2 work" scheme where I pay over the course of 12 months via salary deduction thus avoiding being taxed on it, saving me £1,260.
£3k on a credit card that I've got to pay off within 2 years to avoid being charged interest.
Not sure if this was wise, but I am a fat sod and I need to get some exercise done. Cycling was something I loved, so I figured this would be ... something.

Bought street food in Oswestry today.
Had a hurty tummy not an hour after eating some of it.
What have I learned?
Nothing. Food is yummy.

CW: Mention of bodilly functions / poop
At an urology clinic. Many here (including me) are required to drink a certain amount of water and then wee into a bottle.
I’ve just had one of the side effects of my antibiotics kick in, namely horrendous diarrhoea.
There’s only one toilet here.

Due to certain medical stuff I've been and will be being treated for, I have just ordered a Herman Miller Aeron chair.
This concludes my spending of money for the year

Are you a PC gaming enthusiast? Would you like a shiny Palit GameRock 4090 GPU?
£1,600 delivered to mainland UK. One careful owner who has swapped this out for a 9070XT.
I am trying to avoid eBay scummers.

It does send me to sleep if I'm in any way tired, but I'm persevering through the Handmade Hero series of videos.
Only 2 main videos in, so far, but until now I've been settling in with the workflow, which is a bit different to the workflow Casey Muratori uses in the series.
Neovim instead of Emacs.
VS2022 because it's newer.
Same "build system" though, because it's how I've done build systems myself in the past and it Just Works.

Feeling unwell today, but I'm sitting here in my vibrant purple, "Proud to be an Amigaholic" tracksuit that I bought from David Pleasance at #amiga40 last weekend.
No photo's because you do not need to see how my belly looks right now.

Or I can just break out my Phillips monitor that has working stereo audio (and a brighter picture)
