Nothing screams "perhaps your discussion on whether the USA is a disinformation actor has credit" more than the USA pressuring various sponsors to drop out at the last minute...

"If you haven't received the email, check your spam folder"
Oh hell no! There's no way you're getting me to venture into that folder. If it's in there, it's lost forever, we just have to accept that.
Now try sending me an email that doesn't get flagged as suspicious by the same rules that identify dodgy male enhancement prescriptions and scams about winning airfryers.
You assume that these were going to be picked up by a truck that would then have either gone via the North Sea, or potentially even the Channel itself?
Hold on...
So a shipment of inflatable boats (to be used to ferry migrants into the UK), originating in Turkey, destined for the Netherlands... were shipped through a UK airport??

Huh... it turns out Jeffery Archer was still alive.
Maybe there's even an element that "things not working great" is a good thing. Yes, find a way to do what you need too... but when things work too easily / apps are designed to grab, suck in and hold your attention... well, then you're a victim to your phone, not a user.
Having a phone that does purely what I need it to do means I'm doing far more off my phone.
Recently bought a Fairphone to replace a mobile that was going out of manufacture support. Even got the /e/OS version in my continuing drive away from mainstream tech providers.
Yes, it takes some time and investment to find alternatives (and, yes, I recognise this is a privilege I have to be able to spend time & effort on this).
But I must say, I'm finding more things positive about the experience than negative. In many case, just the freedom to have a genuine choice is great.
Is everything perfect? No. But where things aren't, at least Google/the OEM doesn't have me over a barrel forcing me to use what they want.
Bet all the Greenham Common protestors are kicking themselves now that they spent years actually camped outside an airbase when all they had to do was start some rumours about Iran's intentions to get the USA out lickety-split...
