It depends how #migration occured. Were push and pull factors genuine?Over the past two decades in #Australia, migration has been dishonest and used to cynically boost GDP, #consumption and realEstate, while suppressing wages, at the expense of biodiversity, climate and #socialProgress. Its been well documented. Many are promised El Dorado, then abused on arrival.
These people will tell you how they were duped.

Refugees very often produced by #theWest funneling weapons to extremists. It filled us with disdain to realise the same playbook was and is used in #Ukraine since 2014. We personally saw an #Australian move to Ukraine to join a #nazi regimen in 2015/16, via #FacebookGroups, swiftly opening a #travelAgency and remarried.
Migration might be nothing to some with mobility. For the vast majority this won't be the case.

I really enjoyed the #NHS Research Engagement Network (#REN) event today. Inspiring projects on how to make health #ResearchMisconduct more inclusive. I look forward to working more with Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust on this. Our scoping workshop on health inequalities is next week!

'The Networked Refugee' -published on #GlobalNetworks - analyses the experiences of #migrants crossing the Mediterranean using a social network lens to question some Western ideas about #refugees journeys.
