    We can occupy #ScrappyFiddles.

This @steveruizok -inspired thread (hey!) was faux-scrappy, composed and shared after I'd figured it out.

  5. Excellent talk from @TodePond about exploring the boundaries of visual programming, it looks at how they bridge the finite state automata boundary. If you enjoy #orca or #tote, you're going to love this!

  7. Watching a recording of @TodePond talk at Heart of Clojure has inspired me to share more work. I've started recording solutions to the Project Euler puzzles solving them in #Clojure.

If you're interested you can check these out at peertube.nz/c/puzzles_and_pare I'm going to try to post a couple a week.

    Lo-fi. 1 take. Bad audio. YMMV. #scrappyfiddles

  11. #AlgoRhythms at the Carpet Shop in Peckham last night was lovely and welcoming and inspiring.

I liked @TodePond's not-so-subtle political nudge. I endorse this message. (Sorry I caught it before you corrected "zacl" to "zack".)

Favourite performance was from PiPiPi - at least, I think that was the name; maybe someone knows better? [Edit to add] Seems like the name is Pipipri, thanks @synte

  13. I'm ashamed to admit but I'm actually afraid of messing up... things. Things I shouldn't be scared of; default layouts in programs like Kdenlive; those little x buttons on tool bars (I can easily get back again); stock settings on music production gear; plugins on code editors...
I wasn't like this as a kid - the opposite in fact. I got my hands dirty and I made a mess of computer systems; I deleted things I shouldn't have; I broke things all the time. It's how I learned. Now somehow I don't do that and I don't know why.
I've sacrificed creativity for safe, comfort?
Recently everywhere I look I hear people talk about getting comfortable with failure, sharing your work even if you don't think it's good enough, and getting messy to find what works better. This reoccurring theme maybe isn't coming to me at the best time in my life but maybe an important time. Today marks the day I get scrappy.
Credit largely to @TodePond for the inspiration.

  15. the workshop went really well yesterday at

will do a full unstructured thoughts on it when i have more energy but it was super interesting teaching strudel without doing any tutorialing! it worked surprisingly well! and it got people to talk to each other

we ended up jamming in the workshop space for multiple hours afterwards.
and then in the evening, we jammed all night again in the bigger venue! was a huge moment when an organiser rolled out a sound system for us
