@Soldusty I keep meaning to figure out how making that ask works, and I have some of the same concerns...but I'm assuming no one's gonna mind if the alt text they suggest gets edited/expanded/whatever? I mean, just having a rough outline to clean up would still be an easier lift for me (I think?) than starting from scratch. Just having someone else transcribe all the text so I can just add in some notes about the details would be super helpful.
...So there's also this other thing going on with me: it's really hard to #AskForHelp. It feels like asking someone else to do my work for me. It feels like making a burden of myself...and I already have to work really hard at rejecting the idea that my disabilities make me burdensome. There's a nasty voice in my head that says if I have to ask for help, I'm just proving the point.
This, of course, is garbage. It turns out that being able to ask for help is essential to being a healthy human, and the fact that this is so hard is part of why I'm not. But ohh, all the bootstrapping suck-it-up-and-do-it-yourself programming I got even before I had the gall to be disabled on top of it all (hard eyeroll here)...it's a big tangled mess.
And obviously, untangling these messes is the necessary stuff of being a human who wants to do better, be better. Like everyone else, I have to own my issues and figure out how to work through them. I'm just sayin'...it's amazing how complicated and difficult this all gets, and how fast.

Was going through the list of accounts that I follow to see if there were any inactive ones or any that I don't wish to follow anymore & I was finding that when I went to several profiles (on different servers) that most of them displayed as if I was not following them.
The button that should say Unfollow showed up as the Follow button.
On a couple I clicked the Follow button to see what would happen & it brought up a dialogue box asking me to sign in, offering a field to enter my full handle in. This makes no sense as I'm already logged in on my instance & I doubt me logging in to their instance would work as I do not have an account there.Could someone explain what that's about as it's a little disturbing to a non-tech head?

Well, around 02:10, after opening NewPipe, downloading an ambient noise video & the app not giving the option of playback I tried Podcast Addict, the only viable option out of the 3 possible apps it offered for playback.
Okay, let's try for sleep, kill screen as any light just keeps me awake (my eyelids are like tissue paper). Problem, killing screen kills playback 😡.
I'm too tired, will look into what options to tweak in the morning or whenever.I doze till about 04:30 as I need to roll over to relieve my bones & whatever else is aching. Try getting back to dozing... 30 odd minutes later, my body is deep frying me from the inside 😩.
Okay, I'm awake but I don't like it.
Can't believe how quickly I went thorough my notifications on here, replied to a few & back scrolled Home feed to see what I missed.
...So now, what do I do?
