Kya's newest stuffed squeaky toy is one I affectionately refer to as Pickle Rick (a Rick & Morty reference). We've had some incredibly sweet rescue dogs in the 34 years we've been married and somehow Kya manages to be the both the most affectionate and most reactive of all of them at the same time. She loves lap time and barking at me with a menacing growl whenever I have the audacity to leave or come back to the house. Weirdly enough the people at the Veterinary Hospital we take her to seem to love her, despite a few growls at the start of each visit.
