The Iraki dictator then became himself aggressive to the point he invaded and de facto annexed Kuweit. His total demise and death led to a renewed importance of the islamist terrorist networks. Meanwhile, Iran was stirring more and more troubles directly or through proxies we know well.

Iranians? probably commerce and urban people are totally fed up with the bloodthirsty islamic power; contrary to the insurrection at the end of the shah's reign!
