Btw since I’m speaking of Green parties, lemme say I really like Elizabeth May. I’ve watched a few Green party press conferences and she always has a binder of thoroughly annotated legislation and then she’ll go through and criticize specific lines relating to the environment. It’s pretty epic. I’m really glad she has a seat in parliament. She’s also really funny.

I wonder if populists know that their policies are bad.
Wealth is very difficult and even humiliating to measure. It would be better to tax specific assets. It should be obvious why a one-time tax is irresponsible.
Public grocery stores are a really stupid idea because it’s expensive and not targeted. Just send the money to the people who need it and they can use it to shop where they want.
My sentiment toward Emily Lowan isn’t negative cause shes young (only 4 years older than me!) and its the Green party. Also I was impressed with her debate performance. Also her outfits are pretty cool.
But it’s weird that there are all these party leaders who either don’t care that their ideas are bad or don’t care enough to find out that they are bad. Cause factually they are bad (alternatives exist that accomplish the same goals better) and it reduces the quality of debate to have them proposed.

Its kinda doomed that when theres a provincial deficit problem Conservatives will want to cut taxes anyway, NDP will think charging the very rich a “little bit more” is a winning line, and Greens will propose a “one-time wealth tax” which is bad policy done irresponsibly.

I tried to be the change I wanted in the world last year. I did stuff to create community on campus, in my residence, and in my dorm. I was really proud of myself. But now I’m stuck in a suburb with no income and feel too ashamed of my extreme availability to even ask my friends of 10 years to hang out. Ack. We’ll rise again though surely.

To some extent this could be just cause of my associations with those letter shapes. Like D and B definitely read as masculine letters to me. And I think C would have been yellow or gold before I started playing again?

I’ve formed some weird associations with music notes the same way you develop colour associations with numbers and letters. E and A are feminine and sisters. E is like glass and A is like wood. D and B are masculine and brothers. D is like coal or rock or something. Not sure about B. C and G are positive sounding main characters. C is yellow like the sun. F is creepy probably because it’s sharp in so many pieces.

This should just be an illegal thing to put in your terms of service. It’s sad that Meta can even have the confidence to try it. There won’t be any publisher boycott. Auagagghhh this has officially surpassed my threshold. I really cannot identify these conversations as unhuman. I would feel bad being mean to it and feel myself unwillingly charmed by the output. AI girlfriend technology is advancing so fast!
