  1. Over the past months I've been creating a look-alike called kg, clearly flirting with Mg, and today I've released v1.0.0! 🎉 Pick it up at github.com/troglobit/kg

I'm curious to hear what people think, there's a pre-built .deb file for users of , and yes for all the people there's a PKGBUILD file contributed early on by @bodil 😊

  2. More features added, some bug fixes, and now even a proper mdoc man page. Take a peek at the first actual beta of kg, now with enough features to be useful when editing system files or doing simple fixes, on remote systems where a full blown GUI editor does not work.

  3. Ah yes, I’m done! Just completed program, hostname, and (generic) property based (incl RFC5424 properties!) filtering support for 🤓🤯 The latter supports very powerful text matching, including regexp! Next release will probably be out tomorrow, first day of the new year!

  4. Yay, 1000 ✨ stars on GitHub :github: today for my project In-a-Dyn. (I have other projects too, and yes it could all be replaced with a small shell script and LOL)

  5. To all my haters on this platform: I've now made another release of one of my favorite projects. To be clear, I still don't owe you anything more than what's laid out in the LICENSE.

  6. Evidently it turned into this! 😎 It works, is based on libyang instead of pyang, but will not win any design awards 😂

  7. @itsfoss since almost 30 year’s now. I even maintain my own fork of Mg 🤓

  8. I'm quite proud that GNU adopted my *quick* help buffer idea (C-h C-q) that I added to my fork () 😎

  9. Updated my Mg clone on GitHub against the upstream OpenBSD version. Spent most of the time on the new screenshot ... 😅

  10. Part of the stuff I've been working on over the holidays! Really happy with the outcome of it all 😍 :linux:

  11. Allow me to present (mg2a) v3.7 based on the upstream OpenBSD mg. More of that GNU Emacs compatibility, more beginner friendly, and now also multi-arch Docker images.

  12. Vacation time means focus time for me. I have a slew of patches to upstream to various projects and some work on my own projects as well.

Currently I'm working on , the PID 1 replacement I adopted more than 10 years ago. A minor followup to the major v4.4 release I made a few months ago 😎

  13. Exactly a year ago I cut the last release of . Today I'm very proud to announce the next, and it's HUGE!

  14. @olaf @troglobit @anneapplebaum I don't wish for anyone to die—but how many millions should live under oppression, terror, and slavery because we refuse to act? Standing up to tyranny is not about wanting war; it's about refusing to accept injustice. Who is killing #Ukranians? #Russia can stop the slaughter any time.

  15. @T_X @troglobit I did find that link, but I don't think I understand #multicast or the #socat syntax enough to follow it.

It would probably help a lot if I read more than the green parts (see otherwise-unrelated #ADHD toots)

If you would be so helpful as to even just assure me my solution is on that page it would be very helpful. I could stop bouncing around google and just focus on pulling the solution out of the wall of text

  16. @T_X @troglobit #IPv4

I think a #socat or similar solution is what I need. Ideally user-space using #linux standard tools tools. If it's some custom download or requires lots of config (or network hardware mods) then I might as well go right to #it

It's a temp hack to show value before we make a permanent change

  17. Out of all the #linux #init systems, I think I enjoy using #finit the most. A true gem of engineering, and with awesome UX on top.

  18. spdns.de / spdyn.de notices since months that my dyndns client uses an outdated TLS version. I use ddClient on the Raspberry Pi OS from the Package Manager. The Docker version does not provoke any errors.
Additionally: Since four weeks, ddClient is deprecated.

Will switch to inadyn -> github.com/troglobit/inadyn
