BBC News ran a story on how Trump orchestrated the 1/6 attack on Congress. Trump threatened to sue to defamation. Since they're not a chickenshit American news outlet, BBC News said, "Go ahead!" Trump filed a lawsuit. BBC News said, "Great, now we get to depose you." (Sadly, not in the way many Americans would prefer, but oh well.) Trump said "I'M not sitting for a deposition!" A judge said "Oh, yes, you are!" & set a deadline.
Trump can still choose to ignore the judicial order, but if he does the case will be automatically thrown out of court. (He may also face some sort of judicial sanctions but I wouldn't bet on it.) It always amazes me that these assholes threatening to sue news organizations for doing their job don't seem to understand that means they're subjecting themselves to depositions, discovery & other elements of the legal process...

Interesting how the Trump admin - esp Vance & Trump himself - think siding with a child molester/rapist in an attempt to smear a political opponent is somehow to a good & not at all suicidal look... esp given Trump's own sexual assault conviction, associations with known child predators & seeming obsession now with raping a candidate they ARE supporting...
