I went to 2 #NoKings events yesterday -- #ViennaVA & #McLeanVA -- my first 2 protests ever. I had no idea what message I wanted to send, but what I settled on worked out. When I got to each event, I was nervous at first (#introvert), so I just walked behind the crowd to check it out. In each case, I stopped and stood next to someone who complimented my sign (notably, others had similar messages) as I was walking by and had a good conversation with them as we cheered the cars honking in support.

@GottaLaff I’m quite pleased with my kids’ 13 years of #FairfaxCounty FCPS education. (And #ArlingtonCounty next door is comparably top-notch.) I don’t just mean the academics of course; their schools and peers (#LGBTQ and otherwise) contributed positively to their social and moral upbringing as well.
