  1. "hey I googled this for you, here are some links, this is helpful, right? Also it says it's easier than you say it is."

  2. This should be considered as rude as showing up and saying "you're too stupid to figure this out, so here's the answer" and should get the same reaction.

  3. "hey, not only do I trust the statistical average output more than I trust your specific experience, context, and domain knowledge, I also think you're too stupid to ask the LLM yourself."

  4. I feel very strongly that if you roll up to people working in a problem domain you do not have expertise in and take a problem they've been working on and tell them "I asked an LLM and it said" you are being aggressively rude and we should treat that as a socially unacceptable behavior.

  5. The good news is my brain only wants to read like 5 different series right now (if we consider Discworld 1 series) and write code for like 6 different projects and play 30 different games and watch a bunch of movies and TV shows and my brain won't let me do any of it because it's very sure I need to be doing the rest of it at the same time.

  6. I'm positive that we still have work to do, but I love Washington's voting infrastructure. This should be the minimum bar everywhere.

  7. There are many arguments to be made that protecting trans people is in your own best interest, no matter who you are. I will not be making any of them because it shouldn't matter.

If you're willing to secure your rights by depriving someone else of theirs, we are not on the same side.

  8. As we head into elections I just want to remind everyone that if you're willing to sacrifice my trans siblings, I don't care what you're getting in exchange, we are not friends.

  9. That Wake Up, Dead Man and Glass Onion haven't been released on physical media should have us writing new laws.

  10. I know it's a controversial take, but I really do think every show that does a run on Broadway should have a proshot released. They're not the same as seeing it live (not necessarily worse) but each performance is different anyways that's kind of the point, so having Another Different Version out there strikes me as all upside.

I'm big mad the Six proshot was a one day only thing and only in theatres. Blu-rays of all the shows!

  11. The high school production really brought into focus how hard what Amber Gray is doing is. She makes it seem effortless but she's threading a very fine needle and it's so fucking good.

  12. I've now seen three versions of this show, and they were all great in their own way. We saw it on Broadway the day before HashiCorp's IPO (I was delirious with a lack of sleep), I saw the proshot in theatres and now on Blu-ray, and I saw a Very White high school in the Tri-Cities stage it, which was a *very* funny choice but honestly they did better than they had any right to.

  13. The whole thing makes me feel the way Dropout makes me feel: oh ok a bunch of incredibly talented professionals got together and brought every ounce of their creativity and skill to bear and were trusted to do their thing and oh cool I get to watch it.

  14. Patrick Page's fucking medical boot, because he was injured when they shot this, deserves an award ok its own. As does the way they adapted the character and the choreography for his reduced physicality.

  15. Not just the performers, the lighting, the staging, the choreography, the costuming, literally every single part of this production is *so good*.

  16. I'm so happy for these people that this is the highest grossing live stage capture film of all time they honestly deserve it so much

  17. Hadestown deserves *all* the awards
