Now he quits. Not fussed by his party leaving veterans to live on the streets, or by disabled veterans like David Clapson being left to die in the dark by Iain Duncan-Sadist and the DWP.

Doesn't excuse Sunak, but I really dislike the pretence and sanctimonious posturing going on here, from people, including Sunak himself, who have been party to far worse things.

Starting to believe some Labour right-wingers are so slavishly committed to mimicking the Tories that they've seen their kamikaze campaign tactic of sawing through the branch they're sitting on and thought, "Hmm, maybe we should saw through the branch we're sitting on too?".

That or they're just so used to sabotaging their own party in elections they now can't break the habit.

Rumours of a July 4th election, I've looked and it is a Thursday. Sunak is so politically inept it wouldn't surprise me to see him hand his opponents a gift like that, and the current Labour mob aren't much better so it wouldn't surprise me to see them squander it, but I'm still dreading the endless riffing on 'Independence Day' that it could provoke.

Fun for a day or two, by day thirty a reasonable cause for serious assault with a week-old baguette.
