#Cloucflare ditching #reCAPTCHA is a positive thing, but are they still using a system that allows the development of #selfDriving vehicles?From what we can see, Cloucflare are just as bad as #Google, if not worse.
This #hCaptcha could also indicate that Google have completed the #machineLearning component, and so have given the greenlight for Cloucflare to end the arrangement.
We've not had a chance to understand hCaptcha.
We're cautious about feeding data to Cloucflare too.

We're evaluating @plausible for collecting basic visitor statistics about our blog and homepage.
Google Analytics and similar competitors require us to review our privacy policy and take other actions to comply with the GDPR.
Self-hosted Matomo is great, but way too powerful. We just need basic statistics (how many visitors per day / which pages are frequently accessed?).
Plausible Analytics seems to be perfect for the job, because
* it provides exactly the metrics we want
* it's easy to set up
* no worrying about the GDPR
* it's open source software

Been rewatching Mawdryn Undead. I had forgotten that it was Turlough’s first story. Has there ever been another companion who started out as an assassin trying to kill the Doctor.
I like this episode, even though I don’t like the Black Guardian or Mawdryn, but I love that it’s actually a time travel story, particularly the (retired) Brigadier’s story.

I feel immense sadness since I found out about the passing of Mark Sawickis, guitar player of the band Impetigo. We "met" over mail in 2006, and he meant a lot to me, as a fan, a young journalist, and a member of the metal community.
