    Name wise would consider it a brand folks would be proud to be associated with professionally. Also, Not too narrow or too wide of focus.

    My suggestion is simply informatics.social or .data or similar. Would avoid debate between “biomedical” vs “health” prefix, be broader than just #AMIA, and be open to other informatics disciplines outside of health.

  2. Hey @lrasmus! Do you think anyone in the #AMIA #FOSS community with server admin background would be interested in spinning up an unofficial #AMIAInformatics #mastodon instance? A couple of folks have asked me about an AMIA one, and I doubt AMIA itself would do it.

    I can see both pros and cons. Pro: we can find each other more easily and create tighter community. Cons: talking more to ourselves than to others?

But I'm certainly not happy about the plagiarism and ignoring of licenses in building these models...

  8. AMIA Informatics Summit () decisions are out! For the record, there were a LOT of tough decisions the SPC had to make this year. Congrats on those acceptances, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions (or are just upset) about those not accepted.
