  1. RE: mastodon.social/@Kalamuna/1166

Inspiring. Now if everyone who reads this and agrees follows @mallis and comments on his sole 2 year-old toot, maybe he'll consider actively using federated social with the rest of us.

  2. While many people in my network know @geerlingguy from his work, it's always great to see him advocating for in unexpected places like the 3D printer I bought my 13 year old son. I've told my son this will be his last Bamboo if they don't respect the and the license Purusa used for Slicer.

  8. @bud_t Glad to see you doing your part to extend the reach of that their commercial social spend to federated social :). Fun fact: that site is running version 10 of w/o CSS aggregation. This makes it very easy to see which modules are enabled. I can point to at least 3 features on that site I personally contributed code to.

  15. I'm nor sure how much this still matters with AI eating a large amount of the search traffic, but is still the top open source CMS when ranked by CWV. That said, has really optimized to CWV. I only know about Duda because they happen to have an office in Louisville, CO. It's weird to see them showing up on this list.

  16. Would you like to see higher adoption of Mastodon in higher education?

Here’s an opportunity “tip the scale” & show that Mastodon can be an effective part of their social strategy while ALSO supporting an organization doing amazing work in the fediverse. If you use this link to donate to the College of Media, Communication & Information, the source of the donation will show up as coming from Mastodon.

The UI suggests $25, but you can donate as little as $1

  17. @kraftner reading about from someone with a vs. a pov is interesting. I think what you are missing about the Composer updates is the "off the island" approach. It isn't just updating Drupal core, the contrib modules and themes (the PHP the Drupal project controls), but all the PHP packages the project uses. This is very different than WordPress Automatic Updates.

  22. I am halting any kind of work on archlinux, parabola and pacman due to:
    * Archlinux not giving a shit about aarch64 and actively blocks any kind of development for it
    * ArchLinuxArm not replying to me and evidently removing my issue from their bug tracker about it
    * Parabola, because Denis 'GNUToo' Carikli is keep kicking me from an IRC for no fucking reason
    * Pacman is a trash package manager which source code should be put on a flash disk and thrown into a fire which would be a major help to address replication crisis in the computer science

The unfinished work that would provide a full compatibility of Parabola and ArchLinuxArm with all sunxi boards that currently builds a functional u-boot for OLIMEX Teres-A64 and can be easily adjusted to build other sunxi boards is provided on gist.github.com/Kreyren/97eef2

The preliminary ArchLinuxArm image for OLIMEX Teres-A64 which is using a hotfix with armbian u-boot, bootloader, kernel and kernel modules (due to lack of parabola's compatence to implement the required infrastructure) is provided on git.dotya.ml/kreyren/teres-a64
