  3. It was 3 years ago today we shifted to emergency online mode at the after a one week intensive effort by faculty and staff to prepare us for it.

    Faculty and staff did amazing work these past 3+ years especially considering we were pivoting to "emergency online" while also (for many of us) teaching courses for the first time of programs.

    Looking back, I think there should be more recognition of the herculean effort of many to get us to where we are.

  4. Vacation time for the next month, I have a few coding projects lined up as well as developing a one week course for my students and colleagues. But mostly I will enjoy some well earned rest.

    @hacks4pancakes My work is more aligned in and and I started looking at Mastodon six years ago since like to check new things. The education people took a serious look here back in April with the first threat of purchase of Twitter. Last month just pushed a larger quantity of that community of people over here. My interest in was accidental but I suspect that is the case for many in this area. Happy to see you all here as well.
