@jmccyoung yes, the second was an article from the Christian Post and a third was an article in The Nation. And after I tooted the first time, it turned up in AlterNet.
It’s concerning that it’s being used that frequently and outside places where I would expect to see it. I’m not surprised that some people feel their faith and understanding of the Divine is being shaken by encountering different cultures, people, and religious practices. I do worry that the morphing of rhetoric around cultural differences into spiritual conflict represents growing acceptance of the idea of “holy wars” across multiple societies, communities, and faith traditions.
I’m also afraid that there doesn’t seem to be much being done to counter the escalation in rhetoric. Where are the voices for #Peace ?

@jmccyoung @jeffjarvis. This article is a shonda. Quote #Trump repeating words. Quote Trump making no sense. There is a profound difference between the #brain health of Trump and #Biden. Anyone who knows anyone with #dementia knows what they are hearing when Trump says the wrong word and tries to pretend that he hasn't. Ask Dr. #JohnGartner and the hundreds of people in #healthcare who have sounded the alarm about Trump's #cognitive decline. Read this:

He truly is a giant. The sheer volume of his work, covering so many areas of mathematics and CS, the freshness of his insight, ..., incredible. And so kind and unassuming in his personality.
TeX today still works as well as it did in 1978. Files written then produce identical output now. In 1996 I wrote a small macro package for my own writing, in plain TeX, on top of Karl Berry's eplain. A few hundred lines. Unchanged since. Still using the same package today.

@jmccyoung. Echoes of what #MarcRowan is doing at #Penn. I would like to know what his position is on #law #professor #AmyWax.

I should organize a #WestSeattle #Seattle #TootUp ; that 2010 east bay tweetup connected me to so many cool people (that I'm still in touch with!)

@tsturm @jmccyoung @catsalad @dev Oooh, it was on the other side of the park, in a similar location. I apparently owe someone money lol.
"...At 6:21 a.m. on Tuesday, an alert was sent to San Francisco residents reporting the animal had been located and that animal control employees were on the scene. The animal was located at Octavia and California streets, near the landmark Atherton House, in the wealthy Pacific Heights neighborhood, where the animal was cornered by officials. .."

Thanks for this conversation
I gotta make some 😬“harmonica emoji”button/badges
There’s proposals for a #harmonica emoji that I think are missing out on this golden opportunity
It’s right there already!
No proposal necessary:
😬 “That’s the harmonica emoji“
People would never see it again without thinking that
Brilliant 😂
That’s my next campaign alongside my formal proposal for a #PhonographEmoji which is I think a good idea:

"American Evangelical" is increasingly merely code for political heteroactivism and belief in cishetero supremacy.

@theleftistlawyer I've been happy and impressed that when the #UCBerkeley Academic Personnel Office has had meetings for AP analysts, introductions have routinely included pronouns along with name and department.
