I was pleased to participate to the #OEMCGW23 at #Eurac in Bolzano. I contributed for CMCC with two posters: one illustrating a selection of in-situ datasets to be used in the
#OpenEarthMonitor project, and one on the current portfolio of ICOS_RI ecosystem stations datasets and the works-in-progress for #eddycovariance #footprint products and harmonisation with other global Network under #fluxnet. Such an inspiring experience! -
@FreePietje @kekcoin The ENS can be useful. Sadly it's built on #Ethereum.. #Namecoin is #Bitcoin merge-mined. So it's supposed to be ideal. I haven't heard much of the project for many years, though.
It would be cool if those crazy web-devs building all the Ethereum infrastructure could do some work on Namecoin. Sadly there are no ICOs throwing millions at them, though. I guess they have misaligned motivations.. -

Wiem, że na świecie to już jest znane, ale #Projekt2051 skupia się na polskiej psychosferze, więc szukam sojuszników bliżej. -
Czytam poważną książkę, cegłę, kolumbrynę, pani profesor napisała, o BigTechach, metadanych i inwigilacjach. Poważne wydawnictwo, Zysk i S-ka.
Czytam i czytam, i coś mi to pisanie w ogóle nie wchodzi, jakoś tak wszystko szorstko napisane, dziwne konstrukcje słowne aż kłują w oczy. Aż trafiam na taki kwiatek (mowa o okularach z kamerą):
"Projekt, wprowadzony z wielką pompą na wiosnę 2012 roku jako modny futurystyczny gadżet, szybko został uznany za kolejna koszmarną próbę napaści. Osoby noszące urządzenie nazywano "szklanymi otworami" (glassholes), a niektóre firmy wprost zakazały używania okularów w swoich obiektach"
Really? glassholes? "szklane otwory"?
No nie wierzę. Patrzę, czy tłumacz to może jakaś pani Zdzicha Dżipitowska, albo Zenia Dipelowska, ale nie, normalnie żywa osoba, Alicja Unterschuetz. Ups.
No słabiutko słabiutko, może jeszcze jakby to była książka kucharska to bym machnął ręką, ale "Wiek kapitalizmu inwigilacji" Shoshany Zuboff to chyba zbyt konkretny tekst, by tak po prostu przejść nad tym do porządku dziennego. Zwłaszcza że, o ironio, książka traktuje właśnie o tych wszystkich gigantach, wciskających nam do gardła swoje sztuczne inteligencje. Niektórym widać wcisnęli całkiem głęboko.
Czy serio to już tak teraz będzie? Że tłumacz wrzuca tekst w maszynę, poprawia przecinki i gotowe, drukujemy? Jesteśmy skazani na te wytwory-potwory słowno-składniowe, produkowane przez AI, bo tak jest szybciej i taniej? (nie wiem dla kogo taniej, książka kosztuje kilkadziesiąt złotych).
No i nie doczytałem do końca, bo to jest zupełnie nieczytalne, mimo tematu mocno na czasie. Pomijam już nawet trudny język i skomplikowane słownictwo jakiego lubi używać pani profesor, to dałoby się przeskoczyć, wiele poważnych książek było napisanych trudnym językiem i jakoś przebrnąłem. No ale nie. Nie tym razem.
