I've had a bad gut feeling about #ActBlue for a decade.
Creating a donation monopoly with a 'pay ourselves first' (and well connected folks, *we choose* who) model was a top-down idea only folks *already with power* could like.
I'm ambivalent to Don the Con's threats, as we should have never put all our eggs in one basket.
Let's actually democratize it.

Maybe kiwis need to accept that the NZ government is just fucked, give up on it, and work with whānau, hapū and iwi to reconstitute the country's governance arrangements from scratch? Stop buying into the badly cloned version of the British government that claims total sovereignty here.
My reading of Te Tiriti in the context of He Whakaputanga is that it formally recognises Ngāti Pākeha as an iwi. Maybe we need to start acting like one?

政府が #安保3文書 を閣議決定してから1年が経とうとしています。閣議決定の直前に、私たち #平和構想提言会議 は、「#戦争ではなく平和の準備を ―“抑止力”で戦争は防げない」と題する提言を発表しました。その中で、#敵基地攻撃能力 の保有や #軍事費倍増 等の政策が、#日本国憲法 の #平和主義 の原則を逸脱し、周辺諸国との関係を悪化させ、軍拡競争を助長させるきわめて危険なものであると指摘しました。そして、こうした決定が憲法の下での民主的手続きを経ずに強行されていることに強く異議を申し立てました。
それから1年の間に、#岸田政権 は #大軍拡 政策を次々と進めています。経済や社会の隅々にまで軍事化が広がり、 #立憲主義 は瀕死の状態といえます。
世界では、#ロシア による #ウクライナ への侵略戦争や、イスラエルによる #ガザ 地区への無差別攻撃により、無数の民間人が命を奪われ傷つけられています。
この1年を振り返りながら、研究者やNGO活動者の視点から問題を提起します。

「#反撃能力 」という名の #敵基地攻撃能力 の保有について、政府・与党は「専守防衛の考え方の下」で進 めると強弁している。だが #専守防衛 の肝は、隣国に届く武器をあえて持たないことによって他国への脅威 とならないようにすることであった。この日本の防衛・安保政策の大原則が、いま根本から覆されようと している。
「反撃」というが、そもそも、相手側が攻撃に着手したことをどのように認定するかは曖昧である。そ れでも「反撃能力」を備えた日本は、相手からの大きな打撃を受ける前になるべく速やかに反撃しようと するだろう。そのような日本の「反撃」を、相手は「先制攻撃」と捉えるかもしれない。 -
現在、#防衛装備移転三原則 の運用指針の見直しをめぐる自民・公明の与党実務者協議が進められています。その中で政府は、これまで禁じられていた #殺傷武器 の輸出を認める見解を示しています。
日本が殺傷武器を輸出することは、「メイド・イン・ジャパン」の武器によって他国の人々が殺傷されるようになることを意味します。「#平和国家」を掲げることで他国から一定の信頼と尊敬を得ていた日本が、「#死の商人 国家」へと転落することを、許容することはできません。
このような観点から、学者、専門家、NGO活動者ら22人が緊急の共同声明をとりまとめ、2023年10月3日付で発表しました。全文および呼びかけ人リストは以下のリンクにある通りです。また、10月3日に行われる記者会見へのリンクと、本共同声明に賛同していただける方のための賛同フォームもありますのでご活用ください。
