Has anyone noticed that Github is a steaming pile of shit now? I mean yeah I know it's a sloppy cesspool, but I'm talking functionally... I just got rate limited typing in the Username field lmao

Well, on the bright side, at least my Anne Pro 2 has spontaneously sprung back to life. I only bought this glitchy POS as a stand-in for the Poker 2 the first time I broke off the port because it was the same form factor and programmable enough to replicate the Poker 2's layout and fn layer, but it was always meant to be a temporary backup.
Anyway this thing just magically stopped doing keyboard things a couple weeks ago, but lo and behold, it suddenly wants to keyboard again, which is nice, because all of my keyboarding muscle memory has been ruined by the layout from a discontinued 12 year old keyboard lmao

Damn. I don't think this Poker 2 is coming back from a second catastrophic detachment of it's mini-USB port :/
Anybody got a spare iKBC Poker 2 lying around? lol

Oh nvm it respawned at the opposite end of the couch. Okay new question, does anyone know the probability of a dropped keycap (or screw, or whatever) de- and then re-materializing into the very same room? Like how lucky did I just get? I feel like they usually end up somewhere very far away, 'cause I generally end up never seeing them again.

Does anybody know where dropped keycaps go after they noclip into another dimension (?) the moment they hit the floor? Just curious.

Oh and far more than once or twice, someone will include their name, or "thank you" or "Order number <followed by the order number>", again, in spite of explicit instruction not to do so. That one doesn't matter as much; I've written my confirmation email parser to just discard whatever isn't a number, but no amount of string manipulation will extract an order # that isn't there to extract lol
-
It doesn't matter how clear the instructions are, whether they're mono or bilingual, or how firmly you insist that failure to follow instructions will result in the order being cancelled... if you take e-Transfer as a payment method, at least once a day (but usually twice), somebody will fail to include their order # in the memo field.

Dishwasher detergent pods are worse than every alternative in every conceivable way. For the price Dollarama is charging for a pack of 11 pods ($3.75), I could buy 63% of a 1.8kg ($5.99) box of powder. Let's do the math... At $3.75 for 11 pods, that's 34c per 11g pod, which in this case just contains powder anyway (and a little orb of Jet Dry). Meanwhile at $5.99 for 1.8kg of No Frill's powder, you get 1800g total, at a value of 30c/100g.
Sure, a box of 50 or whatever pods is probably a better value per pod than 34c—you know what, let's find out...
The exact same pods (Finish Powerball Classic) also come in a bag of 105, which at the current sale price of $22 (reg. $24.99) makes each 11g pod... 21 cents.
So I can pay $5.99 for 1.8kg of powder, or $22 for 1.75kg of pre-portioned powder, negating my dishwasher's pre-wash cycle almost entirely?
And people just accepted this as the state of the art in detergent technology the moment they hit the shelves? It's fucking bananas.

Anyone seen Beau is Afraid yet? It sounded like it was going to be a wild ride, and far exceeded that expectation. The best way I can think to describe it is Punch-Drunk Love meets /r/abruptchaos
