  1. I was also very impressed with the Hope In The City Demo. It's been on my wishlist for a while.

Don't look at it & think low poly means low quality - it's custom/well art-directed low poly, with very smooth movement, interfaces etc. THe characters are all recognisably different & well designed.

It's 3rd person, allowing for good exploration around the city, with a nice mechanism for discovering objects & 'Thoughts', which can then be combined into 'Insights' or 'Breakthroughs'. These objects & Thoughts can then be presented to NPCs, allowing you to ask all the questions you'd like.

It's also an interesting look at modern China (via Canadian developers with a strong interest in that country), including political commentary on wealth vs city poverty vs rural poverty.

  2. Really loved Funeral For The Sun demo. The vibrant water-colour-like art is beautiful, the guitar music also fitting.

The story is intriguing, with the potential for exploration of many types of relationships, as well as political issues. The interaction of past and present is also enjoyable.

(Sidenote: InkBlood has a past vs present mechanic, is it a thing this ?)

Funeral For The Sun Demo stops just at the right point for the 60 minute demo to feel finished but also leave you wanting more... strongly recommended!
