Before him, Ecuador was run by the corrupt multimillionaire banker-oligarch #GuillermoLasso, a loyal right-wing ally of the US.
Violence skyrocketed under them.
When leftist #Correa was president, Ecuador was one of the safest countries in the region.
US propaganda absurdly demonized him as a "puppet" of #China.
Since Correa left in 2017, Ecuador has truly been a US puppet. And it has become a failed state, run over by violent drug gangs.
Ecuador is a prime example of how, the more a country in #LatinAmerica abandons its sovereignty and subordinates itself to the US, the more of a dangerous failed state it becomes.
Tragically, #Argentina is currently going down the same path into right-wing chaos and destruction.

A predictably defensive #Tunisia got away with a point as their protective compromise prevented a #Denmark deserving win. The Europeans created a lot of chances but in the end were too erratic; they sure left the pitch disappointed today.
