  1. @garritfra I was like that a while back but after getting used to the split keyboard I had to make an extra one for the office because I can't code on anything else 😂

  2. @garritfra related to your "I won't buy a YubiKey" from garrit.xyz/posts/2023-03-21-i-

First: #YubiKey is only one company who sells #FIDO2 compatible devices. So I'd recommend to use "FIDO2" as the open standard instead of product lines of companies. I own a #SoloKeys and it's also providing FIDO2 services.

Second: my main argument for owning and using a FIDO2 USB device is that this is the only method that protects against #phishing which is one of the most prominent threats these days. #security

  4. @garritfra It may have simulink, which I'm not real familiar with but if it's doing graphical simulations that might explain it. Be sure to warn her that #Mathworks will spam her regularly once she installs #MATLab. Also warn her that the commandline linux version is glitchly & sometimes the engine only runs properly in the GUI. She should pressure the school to switch to #GNUOctave.

Agree. #Influencers in #Australia were recruited in January this year with super creepy #billboards and #advertising.

We believe that many influencers were recruited at this time to push #Zoom because when #COVID19 arrived here the media and #celebrities instantly were forcing "zoom" into the lexicon.

Reminds of how #Hollywood inject #smoking glorification into almost every show. The smoker, shown thrice, is almost always a sexy/confident hero.

  6. Here's how we (@garritfra & myself (@RyuKurisu)) came up with the name : initially I was thinking of calling it Kilimanjaro Linux, because "desktop linux" + "tabletop mountain". But in a thread started by Garrit he came with the suggestion Pyrenee Linux, which I quite liked.

For those interested in the history of this project, you can find the thread here: fosstodon.org/@RyuKurisu/10723

  7. 🔧✨ Oh joy, yet another terminal tool from #GitHub that's trying to be relevant by slapping on Vim keybindings as if it’s a hot sauce 🌶️ for instant spice. Because, clearly, the world was desperately in need of a way to edit spreadsheets in the terminal with all the elegance of a ✨1980s text editor. 😆

  17. @mhamzahkhan good luck!🙌 Just finished my days ago. 🙂

  18. Today's lesson: has a lot of management overhead when operated in cluster mode. Switching to next monday, as it seems to scale a lot easier.

  19. by migrating one of my services to my new infrastructure.

Traefik continuously tries to fetch letsencrypt certificates as soon as a router configured for TLS is created, but I haven't flipped the switch in my domain registrar.

What happens if you continuously request certificates without being able to answer the ACME challenge?

  20. Keeping this shell snippet for later.

Sum up entire coding history (from a data dump):

    cat wakatime_export.json | jq ".days[] | {grand_total} | .grand_total | .decimal" | sed s/\"//g | paste -sd+ - | bc

I "wasted" (at least) 1325 hours on programming, since 2017 🤯

  21. @Linux_in_a_Bit old post of mine, but I think it fits here quite nicely.

@alcinnz offers people free hosting on his home server.

This should be a thing. Hit me up if you want to deploy a website, and I'll arrange some space for you on my server.
