Pablo works in the Python team at Hudson River Trading. He is a CPython core developer and a theoretical physicist specialising in general relativity and black hole physics. Pablo serves on the Python Steering Council, having been re-elected for his 6th term in 2026, and was the release manager for Python 3.10 and 3.11. He also has a cat, though it does not code.

Networking, meeting old and making new friends, frequently comes up as one of the best perks of attending a conference like #EuroPython. It's a great chance for open-source maintainers to meet regularly face-to-face (or should we say, keyboard-to-keyboard?) and hack on the project together.
