Over the past decade, the Libs have blindly followed Murdoch's lead.
They've pushed culture wars, they've resisted climate action, and they've privatised public assets. They've tried Islamophobia, homophobia, outright racism (particularly against Africans and Aboriginal people), and transphobia.
And now they're out of office across the mainland. Federal and state.
Maybe pretending this is America and playing to "the base" isn't working so well.

Whilst Plasma 5.27.1 is nice in many respects, tiresomely it has now re-broken my Conkies' semi-transparency. Sigh.
KDE4 was good friends with Conky. Plasma5, for all its many otherwise fab aspects, has had a very tense relationship with Conky, & some dot-versions have been most unfriendly.

@amca01 Fwiw, i went #vegetarian >decade ago, gave away my car a few yrs ago, pay extra for #GreenElectricity, & some months ago began only having weekly showers [cold sponge washes all over, in-between]. Years ago i began minimising my fixed gas space-heating in winter [& wear LOTS of thick layers]. All that's going ok.
This is NOT going so well. Am seeing if i can replace using my gas-hob #kettle for all my tea & coffee, by boiling water in #microwave. So far, bloody inconvenient & messy! 🤦♀️

Sitting in my #sunroom, first coffee finished [bwaaaaaaaah], sun nicely warming my back, reading my Masto on my #Fedora #KDE lappy... & a large flock of glorious #SulphurCrestedCockatoos just squawked by.
Pleasant autumn mornings like this almost make me forget that the #ClimateCrisis apocalypse is upon us & escalating, whilst instead some peeps focus only on how they can hurt, suppress & extinguish all we #trans peeps.
I'll make another coffee, & try to ignore it all, for a bit longer...

Vile hateful man. When he still ran ACL, & was spewing his awful #transphobic fact-free rhetoric, i emailed him, offered either to meet for coffee otherwise have a telecon, so i could explain actual realities of #transgenderism, #transsexuality, & #transition . He lacked the courtesy even to reply. I NEVER raise my head above the parapet that way usually, so it's a measure of how upset i was, to have even tried something so far >> my comfort/safety zone.
