#Ntopng is till now the best #network #monitoring tool that I could find. The interface is awesome and it detects most of my traffic.
One small issue that i am stuck is that I wish it had agents that I could install on non detected devices to track them better.

Debarked a log from a tree I felled a while back. Had to cut down plenty because they were sick. A bark beetle epidemic in the area halved wood production.
Anyway, you can see the intricate tunnel system they dug under the bark. I read the book The Surprising Lives of Bark Beetles, open to being convinced that they're actually great bugs not worth setting up traps for. I wasn't convinced.

That draw knife was a great find. Works well!

I asked for a volunteer and one old spade did not step back fast enough, so it got an appointment with Mr. Angle Grinder to become a bark spade.
Cut off a third of the blade and ground a ~30° bevel on it, then sharpened it.
Works much better than the carving axe. I'll have to find a longer handle for better ergonomy, but happy with it already!

Prypecki debarkader zapadł się.
Stało się to, o czym informowaliśmy od kilku lat. Jego stan już od dłuższego czasu był tragiczny, zaś drewniana zabudowa trzymała się tylko na dobrej wierze. Przegnicie elementów konstrukcyjnych sprawiało, że cała kabina była wyraźnie przechylona w stronę wody - latem ubiegłego roku nawet o metr od podstawy. To sprawiło, że w końcu złożyła się, jak domek z kart, jednak sam kadłub pozostał na swoim miejscu.

This guy again. He was a lousy spade before, but he's a fantastic bark spade now.
Damn good workout though, especially hacking the knots off. Had to resharpen twice.
Works so well though. And it's fun! Like pressure washing. Can't stop. Look at all those peels on the ground!

@BrunoMcGee As far as I know, #prescribed #fires are not normally used in productive #cork #oak woodlands, as fire seems to reduce the quality of the cork, and may negatively affect previously debarked oaks. They more often perform some bush clearing to reduce the chance of fire and to facilitate the debarking work.
