What comes to my mind when comparing #5G with 4G: 5G has (by design) lower range and higher electricity consumption.
Interesting is also the difference between classic copper #boradband and full fibre connection. The later is not only faster but also has a better #co2 footprint.

I'm not looking forward to when I need to help our son with #math, despite getting good grades myself at the time.
Fortunately he's only 2, so I have plenty of time to revise material myself. 😂
It's one of the many things learnt at school that I basically chucked out of my mind for things I deemed more useful to my daily life the moment I graduated...(Though looking at what the #demoscene is doing with #GLSL in a #ShaderShowdown makes me regret doing that with some of it...)

If I recall correctly, #Friendica uses ! as a prefix for mentioning Friendica Forum names.Then there's of course IRC, where # basically comes from as a network-wide channel name prefix. Some #ircd software supports & as prefix for local (as in server-only, rather than network-wide) channels.

I'm an open education advocate and I share my Wikipedia skills with whomever may seek them. Based in Stockholm.
I joined social.coop because an alternative needs to be governed differently and great people like @clhendricksbc and @dajbelshaw have only ever led me to good stuff.

Every platform seems to want either:
a) participants to register before even seeing the page which outlines which evidence is required,
or
b) to charge a whole load of money for custom branding, turning yourself into a mini-university or similar
This is not what the original dream of Open Badges was all about, and definitely not #OpenRecognition

Didn't have space to also mention that I worked at Moodle as PM for #MoodleNet which was originally going to be a federated social network for educators sharing openly-licensed resources, and has been forked / evolved into something quite different with @bonfire!
I've been into #decentralisation since the early days of bitttorrent and am a big believer in the political, social, and technical benefits of peer-to-peer and non-hierarchical relations 🤩
