The #GardenLights #Cheerlights box is now screwed to the garden wall and operational :)
So #ESP8266 D1 Mini board in there with a 20Ah battery, running #MicroBlocks script publishing using #MQTT to my broker cymplecy.uk on topic gardenlights. This received by #NodeRED on Pi in my house which uses UDP to update colour of the #Wiz lights and also toots out to cheerlights

Thanks to the fantastic tutorial from @cymplecy and the responses to my constant toots, I now have a working #NodeRed server running listening to my #Alexa #SimonSays speech so I can control #cheerlights

Just putting this out there but I'm now using #ESP32S3 minis instead of #ESP32C3 minis with @microblocks as I find they much more reliably connect to my home WiFi. (Yes I know about the new C3 antenna variants but decided a just want a compact simple thing that just works without having to worry about whether it will or not)

@CircleOfLife I'm re-doing my house IR controls to use @microblocks on microcontrollers vs LIRC on PiZeros and googling for information on #SKYQ IR protocol - look who made this file in a repo I found 🙂
