Supermarket promotional idea: on other countries' national days, change the signage to the language of that country. I admit I had just had a strong coffee when I came up with that one, but Polish on 11 November or Bahasa Indonesia on 17 August would be cool.

TIL that today is a bank holiday in Ireland. It'd be useful if we had one around then in Britain as well. The whole Night of Light / Bonfire (it pre-dates Guy Fawkes) thing.
