Was out taking one of my long weekend walks and I stopped by the AT&T store to see if they had the #iPhoneDuo and miraculously they did. I went to check it out and it was calmed to a very heavy MagSafe charger that sadly wasn’t charging, so I could open/close and feel the screen/crease, but couldn’t actually use it. Still, the inner screen felt better than I expected, but that crease is very noticeable and it definitely feels like plastic, just not crappy cheap plastic, but plastic all the same.
I also think it needs to be bigger when unfolded, but that’s just a first impression. It’s smaller than I had hoped when unfolded (I never tried 3D printing the mockups).

One thing that sticks with me from all these #iPhoneDuo reviews. Apple Watch Unlocks seems to save the day with how much less convenient Touch ID is compared to Face ID.
Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t seem willing or able to let that technology help the rest of the ecosystem. I 💙 my 13” iPad Air, but I despise using Touch ID to unlock it (slow and clunky). Why can’t Apple let the Apple Watch help there? The only way to avoid the problem is to spend iPad Pro money which really no one should do given the state of iPadOS.
Just seems like such an obvious win…

Ah, memories… I experienced all of these from 1200 bps on up. This was much to my mom’s annoyance as I’d take over the home phone line. Eventually, she got me my own phone line as a birthday present (can’t remember which birthday).
When anyone would complain about the noise, I’d describe it as “machines in harmony” which led to eye rolls 😄
