Good find today. My neighborhood has a few #LittleFreeLibrary boxes with free books, give or take. Never had taken one until today.
Found a copy of #TimothySnyder 's #OnTyranny. Such a good, yet scary, small book! I have read library copies twice now.

I heard back on this the other day. The #SJM aka #SJMN aka #mercurynews turned off their feeds due to #aiscraping , as they offered full articles in the feed.
Ugh. Still a -4 on productivity.

What the? #SanJoseMercury aka #SJMN or #mercurynews , once the 5th largest newspaper in the US, one I've subscribed for, eh, 20 years, cut off it's RSS feed last week. What kind of enshitification level is this?
They use Wordpress as their CMS. You'd think RSS support would essentially be a checkbox or plugin.

It was one of those crappy Mondays where, on my #commute to the office in the time shifted morning dark, on 3 bus lines (2 #vta , 1 #actransit ) and a train, 2 of the three bus runs were cancelled.
Tried to make the most of it with inbox purging and extended reading/podcasts. Got to the office over an hour late.

Donated 3 units of platelets today at Stanford's Blood Center. They are probably already on their way to a human who needs them over the next day or two.
Usually it's 2 units unless they have a need. The 3rd unit adds about 20-30 min overall to the collection time.

Had a routine blood donation where I get blood pulled out, spun around, platelets collected, and the leftovers returned to me. Otherwise known as a platelet donation. At one of Stanford Blood Center's locations.
Usually it's a 2 unit donation, but they asked if I had time for a third unit. Sure!
Lifetime donation #233 in the bags, and 13th for this year. My platelets will probably be put to use for a surgery or chemo patient in days, perhaps tomorrow.

I had been watching this daily afternoon #LinkedIn News video, called #wrap-up that summarized three big news stories of the day, for years. Maybe longer. It was a rather short production, about 2 minutes each, and had pretty high signal. Almost always hosted by John C Abell.
It recently stopped. I went hunting, and found that Abell left LinkedIn earlier in October.
All good things come to an end. Probably one of #linkedin 's best parts.

I donated about 2 hours and gave 2 units of #platelets out of my blood yesterday during a routine #blooddonation at #standordbloodcenter again. It was my 230th all time donation and 9th donation of the year.
Started to read _The Flipside_ by Michelle "Mace" Curran. She was an Air Force F16 and Thunderbird pilot (the PR/demo team). Fascinating read - she overcame a ton of crap.

@hook I'd recommend a look at some of the original Corners First methods for #RubikCube . Besides the effort to complete a side, there are 14 moves to remember. Varasano's _Conquer the Cube_ is a classic book.

#syncthingFork migration from 1.30 to 2.08 was flawless and took 2 minutes:
1. Start 1.30, sync, export config
2. Uninstall 1.30
3. Install 2.08 from #fdroid
4. Start 2.08, import config, syncThis is very cool sync software that saves me hours. #syncthing

I saved my text file via my email server notes facility; tried a small free #NextCloud with the NextCloud Notes Android app; or an email draft that I can access just about anywhere.
All seem to work well and easy to pull up.
#vimwiki looks good for that next level organization. Pretty cool.
