For me, I switched from Git to Jujutsu. The funny thing is: I was very comfortable with Git, and even wrote a visual tutorial on it for people who were familiar with it already. https://agripongit.vincenttunru.com
Still, Jujutsu's neat, though it's hard to describe exactly why. There are just a bunch of helpful little touches that add up, even without the main selling point of stacked PRs, and the mental model was fairly easy to pick up. (Letting go of my mental model for Git was harder though.)

I want to start some sort of uselessness movement, creating useless stuff. Celebrating doing things for the sake of doing things.
Starting a small community without obligations, just taking part when you feel like it.
A fun sandbox with all kinds of people and outcomes.
Some people I follow that might be in to it (or not):

How long until Google offers an API to sell your products directly from the Google Search/AI UI? Free at first; later for a mere 30% cut, of course.

I just crossed Germany by train and suffered no delays, AMA.

If you've ever wondered why you need so many people to write a browser... It's shit like this.

This is some top-notch deceptive design. Everyone knows most people breeze through sign-up forms: enter email, accept the terms, submit.
Now take a closer look.
Informed consent my ass. Clever though.

Mozilla has been talking a lot about AI, which I personally don't care much for. Luckily, that doesn't appear to be coming at the cost of Firefox development, because there are a couple of features coming up that I'm pretty excited about! The following are all available in Nightly already.
(Update: they're in regular Firefox now!)

As a front-end developer, there are some things that jumped out to me in the recent screen-reader survey. I'll share a couple of them, but keep in mind that I don't typically use a screen reader myself. You can take a look at the results yourself at:

Giving a talk really is one of the best ways to get more familiar with a subject.
Which is to say, if you're near Amsterdam, come hear me talk about React Server Components on Wednesday!

Happy fifth birthday to my second-ever smartphone! It has seen better days and is missing some modern conveniences, but with some help from @e_mydata and a couple of spare parts from a friend's old phone, I'm still pretty proud that this @Fairphone 2 made it to five years.
Hopefully this will be the norm in the not-too-distant future 🤞
