  1. On the eight nights of #Chanukah, I and the Jewish people in my life recite a blessing that evokes miracles wrought for forebears at this time of year.

May the Eternal also work a miracle in these days we are living through. 🙏🏽 🕎

  2. "Ever Willing: Becoming the People Our World Needs"

The pandemic has wrought change and created uncertainty for institutions, like our Unitarian Universalist congregations, and our wider world. Who and what are we becoming, individually and collectively? Our GA Sunday service explores these themes as we gather in community to celebrate the best of who we UUs are.

Led by Rev. Manish Mishra-Marzetti, Senior Minister of the First UU Congregation of Ann Arbor, MI.

  3. #SideWithLove, a public advocacy campaign sponsored by the #UnitarianUniversalist Association, presents "#30DaysOfLove" each year between MLK Day and Valentine's Day.

We are now in the third week of these 30 days. In the second week, I was asked to offer a #prayer for that week's theme embracing #embodiment, #LGBTQIA+ rights, #gender rights, and #ReproductiveRights.

I haven't been active online much lately, but I thought I would share that prayer here:

  4. I've been super-duper depressed for several weeks now in case anyone is wondering why I haven't been...um...tooting more. 🙃

Thankfully, I started with a new therapist last week. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏽

Seems like a good place to wind up to me. It's been about 20 years since I first heard the term and I'm still learning what it means. I am very comfortable describing myself as a #Panentheist and used to think of #Panentheism and #ProcessTheology as being somewhat synonymous, but not anymore. I should dig in and learn more...📚

  8. Yesterday, I got to help an entire community observe the Winter #Solstice, and a Blue #Vespers service ackowledging how hard the holidays can be; and I also marked the fourth night of #Chanukah with a chanukiyah from Jerusalem given to me by my Ima Amy many many years ago, in front of hamsa blessing flags given to me by Rabbi Jessica Oleon Kirschner several years ago, while just outside the window can be seen festive #Christmas lights hanging around the church grounds.

  9. I just made a chocolate #eggnog and OMG WHY HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE!!!! 🤤😋

  10. Good morning! Happy Friday!

I usually try to post things of a religious/spiritual nature...AND, as a whole human being, I often post about both my struggles with depression and - during horny hours - my incessant, everlasting, inextinguishable, burning desire for hot guys.

Who knows what today will bring?! [Hint: it's Friday and it's sunny here!]

    SorryNotSorry. 💁🏾‍♂️

    Have a great day!

  11. @independentpen Hey there! Nice to meet you as well! I think I first labeled myself a #panentheist around the year 2000, and it stuck!

  12. My *theology* is #panentheist, because I believe that everything exists within the divine whole, which is comprised of, and yet greater than everything that is. For example, if you put a bunch of limbs, nerves, organs, bones, etc. into a pile next to a living being, you have the same components, and yet a human being is something more than just a collection of all its parts.

  13. While it initially reflected a specific role I was filling for the newspaper, the name no longer has any connection to its origin. Now, I'm just a #UU intent on examining what it means for me to be a #Unitarian #Universalist, and reflecting on my life's journey. I am a #UnitarianUniversalist.

  14. #Introduction 🧵 #1 (3 toots):

I am a "Uvangelist" #seminarian, sharing #UnitarianUniversalism with all. My passions include #music, #languages, and ethnic #cuisine. I enjoy studying #religions and learning about people's different religious journeys and cultural experiences.

  15. One of my classes this semester is called "Counseling Skills for Pastoral Ministry". I have an assignment to conduct and record a #PastoralCounseling session, share a 15-minute clip with my class for discussion and analysis, and prepare a verbatim report.

Y'all - this is the most exciting assignment I have had in #seminary so far. I am downright giddy! 🤪 If I flunk out of seminary I guess I can do a certificate in #chaplaincy or #SpiritualDirection instead. Or I can *not* flunk AND do that. 🤗
