  1. @RickGaehl Yeah ppl, bravo. Just go out and vote for fucking literal Neo-Nazis. Twats. The electorate of this country seem incapable of basic rational thought #UKPol #UKPolitics

  2. @RickGaehl I remember hanging eggs on them in my childhood. Since climate change, they bloom much earlier than even an early Easter in Alsace. Only this year we have luck because the cold with minus degrees conserved them.

  8. @RickGaehl I was shocked to realise that my first (pre-graffiti) photo of this is almost 20 years old now!

    ghostsigns.co.uk/2007/06/bloom

It's a rare example of a locally listed ghost sign in London:

Finally, after what seems a very long wait, I get to be able to quote post on Mastodon. I'd almost forgotten why I wanted to do it in the first place.
Now I can't think of a better way to start than by quote posting myself - so here is a reminder of my intro post.

  14. @RickGaehl He is a fantastic sculptor. I came across this wonderful statue by #AntonyGormley at Saddell Bay on the Kintyre Peninsula. I had no idea it was there and discovering the combination of the artistry and location was quite an experience.

  15. @RickGaehl It seems the division between 3 Abrahamic religions is the main reason for colonization and genocide of Americas, current massive deportation detainment cruelties. Even though the Torah, Gospels, and Qur’an all have enough similarities to indicate they are part of same religious system. Yet, people fought war for religion instead of studying books. War is satanic. It’s oppositional behavior, yet became 2nd entity. Only 1 Source, and we are reflection of it. #WeResistWar

  16. @RickGaehl Ha mine was a hand-me-down from my gran, 1963 model. My mate and I ran a mobile disco while at university and it was our only transport! And it was the sedan model haha. On mending I do remember having to put new rubber engine mount bushes in every couple of years. Lovely memories 😀

  17. #Donatello created his famous bronze of David for the Medici family, back in the 1440s. It was the first free-standing bronze figure to have been cast since antiquity: both a technical and artistic triumph. #Photography #Art #History @rickgaehl.bsky.social‬ #sculpture #art

  18. Despite all the luscious, cool interiors, I think my favourite Vermeer is this one. I got reaquainted with it on my recent visit to Den Haag, and it shows a view of the town of Delft, from the east, during the Golden Age. The tall spire in the distance is the Niewe Kerk, and the gateway with towers to the left is the Oostport, both of which are still there.
