Finally managed to get my #Windows10 device registered with the free-in-the-EU ESU scheme. It's anti-patterns all the way down. 🤬
If you're trying to do the same, User Accounts in Control Panel is your friend, Accounts in Settings is not. In Control Panel, you'll need to make sure (one of your) device accounts is an MS Account, NOT a Local Account, & that it is an Administrator. This should enable the ESU Enrollment option in Windows Updates (top right-hand side).

So... I pre-ordered a #Lily58Pro kit.
No soldering & it pretty much comes with everything except a USB-C cable (I'm pretty sure I can scrounge one up as I live with Cable Santa Claus) & keycaps.
I guess I'll be shopping for pretty little plastic bits to stick on the top of this #MechanicalKeyboard then.
