@mlanger @beyondmachines1 @LabSpokane That‘s true, a solution its owners are DESPERATELY looking for problems to capitalize. To be fair, this is only true for generative AI, i.e. large language models (LLMs). That‘s the slop-generators using up all of the computer centre capacity, energy and water and causing the current RAMocalypse. On the other hand, analytic AI is really useful in real-world and scientific applications, as it is a great pattern-recognizer (as are human brains) on very large datasets. Great stuff!
What I‘m trying to say is, „AI“ is a super useless term as it is used to describe completely different things: The current marketing-driven hype of AI is the bad one. When someone talks (correctly) about benefits of AI, it‘s the other meaning of the term.
