@Dianora @JamesWNeal @pathfinder @actuallyautistic It will be very difficult for advertising to work on us #autistics because its roots are in Freudian theory and the subconscious. And it’s always “clever” with puns and trendy cultural references. None of this works on the logical level, giving one a reason to buy.
I get affected by advertising that’s witty and entertaining but it does no more than make me like the company. Don’t think it affects my buying.

I was this years old when I found out what exactly God's #PromisedLand Land really is.
I was looking for a biblical reference to the promise and I came across the attached reference.
In the Bible, God promised most of the Middle East to Abram *and his descendants*
among whom you'll see Ishmael, Abram's first son.
If the #Jews are entitled to live in the Promised Land through as descendants of Isaac/Israel ... then the #Palestinians are entitled too, as descendants of Ishmael.

They say a principle is only a principle if it costs you something. Well the first week of my #USboycott meant I missed a match on Amazon where my team #Arsenal won 7-1. So it goes. On the plus side, we had to try an alternative to #Heinz beans. #Branston beans are so much better. Not just a little, but much, much better. Why have I wasted so much of my life drooling over Heinz beans? Now all I need is a tomato soup that’s better and I’m away.

A week ago it was just another day with tinsel. Now just another day with fireworks.
Mainly a response to making days special. Since every second the sun starts an orbit around the sun, it makes little sense to celebrate the day the (Eurocentric) calendar runs out. We celebrate things we cannot control. And fail to control things we could be celebrating: A day of peace for example; A day when everybody has a proper meal; a day when we’re all “those of goodwill.”

Over to more important subjects. I’ve enjoyed the #BenFogle series on people living “in the wild” but the recent one on Rhonda Mitra was an absolute con. Far from giving up her Hollywood lifestyle, she’s still working in films, not living without a visitor for three years. Her Instagram feed gives a lie to that. It was a good example in getting good PR, not good tv though [/cattiness]
