🥾 #Hiked a new-to-me trail yesterday. The sun was bright, the snow was gone & the river was running fast. Walked 8KM along the #MillRunTrail by the #SpeedRiver in Cambridge (ON) & spotted the following birds:
Buffleheads
Hooded Mergansers
Common Mergansers
Mallards
Lesser Scaups
Canada Geese
Ruddy Ducks
Flicker
Downy
Red Tailed Hawk
Blue Jays
Red Winged Blackbirds
Grackles
Song Sparrow
Golden Kinglet
Cardinals
Robins, lots & lots of robins! -
Another day, another #hike. This time a 12KM hike along the #GrandRiver heading towards #StJacobs.
Few birds, but looky-looky what we have sleeping over there!
#Birds & critters today:
Blue Jays
Mallards
Canada Geese
Chickadees
Red Bellied Woodpeckers
Northern Shrike (cooool!!)
Cardinals
Squirrels
Beavers (awesome!!)
Wise old oak (#NatureArt)We weren’t expecting to see a family of #beavers sleeping on the river bank. That was pretty special! (Only had my phone for the picture 😕)

Another day, another #hike. This time a 12KM hike along the #GrandRiver heading towards #StJacobs.
Few birds, but looky-looky what we have sleeping over there!

After 3 days of blustery winter weather it was nice to get a #hike in at #PioneerTower along the #GrandRiver in #Kitchener, #Ontario.
We hiked 8.8KM along the river & spotted some #birds that we thought would have migrated south by now:
#GreatBlueHeron (what???)

#Robins (AKA Christmas Robins LOL)We also spotted these year-round birds:
#CanadaGeese
#CommonGoldenEye
#Chickadees
#Mallards
#BaldEagle (Juvenile)
