  1. @AnthonyFStevens Got yours too. I'm very good around Westminster Village. A #SODEM original, 😎✊🏽💖🇪🇺

  2. @AnthonyFStevens We the foot soldiers knew this was coming years ago. Some of us have stood toe to toe with these gangsters. Did we get any support from the 'officer class'. (Thats you #Galsworthy) Did we heck as like. #RejoinEU needs to be front line ready come spring.

  3. @AnthonyFStevens Cost: £317 Benefits: loads

Cost: £4200 Benefits: fuck all (the #victorianpencil was even given the specific task of finding some and failed, miserably).

  4. @AnthonyFStevens

WTF is #AndrewMarr doing platforming this seditious, Congress-contempting, evil man?

He would be in jail, if not for his last minute, corrupt pardon from Trump.

  5. @AnthonyFStevens @riggbeck
Labours stated policy response to the tory economic policies that have blighted the UK...

....is continuing those same disastrous policies

Continuity austerity, more NHS budgets diverted to private healthcare, continuing under-funding schools, - labour wont even commit to making school building safe (#RAAC)

That kind of short-term, stupid, harmful crap is what #tories do ...and #labour and #reeves state they will continue

Well I think it is a bit different - Militant was a long-lasting problem that #Kinnock spent years neutralising - in the process he became too associated with that fight to win an election (I think he was LOTO 9 years!)

#Momentum was not as deeply rooted in the party - many were entryists (both far left & Tory right) under the foolish Milliband scheme to encourage mass voting on Labour leadership - Starmer once leader has spent little time removing them from influence

  11. @AnthonyFStevens @gemma

TBH I think you worry too much Anthony - we are increasingly seeing that the far Left have little sway on the wider electorate - there will be some policy announcements at the #labour conference to address the #redTory insult (which is of course meangless) that do not frighten floating voters.

Those to the left of #labour are a small minority that cannot put up a candidate who will retain their deposit

  12. @AnthonyFStevens

It won't work - there never were enough votes on the hard right to elect a #kipper govt

  13. @AnthonyFStevens @jschwa1

Backlash to what - a proposal that no party in the UK expresses any enthusiasm to adopt?

As for that Express poll - I sense some mischief since one thing that would reactivate the #gammon would be a poll on the UK & EU - I doubt there'll be any enthusiasm for that from any party of govt anytime soon

We've already had a measure of rapprochment with EU under #sunak - we'll have more under #stamer in the next parliament - but no Freedom of Movement & no Rejoin talk

  14. @AnthonyFStevens If the Scottish Government #ScotGov can't get a #Section33 to run a referendum, and the UK Supreme Court won't allow #Holyrood to call one, then civil society will just have to do it.

Under Chapter 1, Article 1, Paragraph 2 of the United Nations Charter, we clearly have the right, and that right clearly overrides Westminster law or UK Supreme Court decisions.

  15. @AnthonyFStevens @krans You know GBEnergy will be a very small player among many generators

It will represent a tiny proportion of the energy sector and while welcome, comes nowhere near addressing the structural problems around energy invthe UK

Read the link - it isnt voters want a *tiny bit* of Energy sector publicly owned - that was Bristol Energy and Robin Hood Energy

    And BTW
"68% of Conservative voters want water to be nationalised" - Are THEY #corbynistas too

  16. @AnthonyFStevens
That was data relating to the whole electorate, not just #Corbynistas

    As for voting intention:
Only 29% of the electorate plan to vote labour (17% tory *54%* something else or none of the above) - they are not all Corbynistas

So replace one corrupt, despised party with a PM distrusted and disliked - to deliver #Tory tax and spending policies in a red wrapper

    Yay

  17. @AnthonyFStevens @benjamineskola @MutualityWSDEs @Loukas experts in the energy sector dont know what #GBEnergy is going to do, so of course I dont

"A new National Wealth Fund for Britain to lead the world in hydrogen.
Lead the world in the EV revolution from the North East to ...
Lead the world in green steel ...."

    A wealth fund ...funded by...?

To quote #GretaThunberg "blah, blah blah"
    Or if you prefer
    "Show me the money"

But back to the point this isnt nationalising anything

  18. @AnthonyFStevens @joshim @MutualityWSDEs @Judeet98 @Loukas

Are we back to 2019 again?
There were many factors among them Brexit and the unpopularity of #corbyn

There was also the factionalism within #labour shown in the #FordeReport where left-wing candidates were defunded

But #Brexit was a big factor

One might equally ask why did #Labour have one of the largest swings ever in the run-up to 2017 after their manifesto was released

But neither is really pertinent to the article linked

  19. @AnthonyFStevens @joshim @MutualityWSDEs @Judeet98 @Loukas
""it could take up to 18 years to have permanent UK only residents working within the NHS.... ""

Who thought of this? #NickGriffin ?

    Creepy and weird and irrelevant

  20. @AnthonyFStevens @RichardJMurphy concern about the government of a country isnt unreasonable and shouldnt be characterised as a mental illness

I have seen some of your other posts where you demean and insult people for being poor and ignorant and desperate for political change

Just horrible, counterproductive and very revealing

  21. @AnthonyFStevens as good as it is to see Comer investigating Kushner, he’s just too damn inept to be effective in ANYTHING he does #hack #rube

  22. @OliverNoble @AnthonyFStevens @RichardJMurphy

"More of the same" is what you get if the #toriesOut sneak back in again on the back of a distrust amonsgst many of the electorate of the far left were #labour daft enough to repeat the failed corbyn experiment

Fortunately that will not happen and odds are good we will have a #centreLeft govt again to heal the nation after #2024GE
