    HOW IT WORKS - OVERHEAD LINE TEST TRAINS (SLIGHT RETURN)

    A while back I did a thread on OLE test trains which you can read here: mas.to/@25kV/11089523444924623 More recently, SPL have put together a further iteration of the FrankenTrain™ to test the next stage of Midland Mainline Electrification (MMLE), & today they kindly invited me and a colleague on board to observe high speed testing of the new OLE between Wigston and Kettering North Junction.

  6. On #EuropeDay 🇪🇺 #9May a picture, taken in August 2002, of a very #European locomotive: a dual voltage #DB 🇩🇪 Class 181.2 seen at #Luxembourg 🇱🇺, with an international service composed of #DB #InterRegio cars. These locos were also equipped to work under 25kV AC in #France 🇫🇷.

  7. A picture taken at #Geneva🇨🇭station. On the left (track 6, with its overhead wires electrified to the Swiss norm at 15kV, 16.7 Hz): an #SBB #InterRegio to #Brig. To the right (track 7 with its “French” 25kV, 50Hz catenary) an #SNCF #TER for #Lyon 🇫🇷.

    I suspect that when #SJ needs more or less all the hybrid Flirt units (class 76) on the #Røros line with the #Dovre line closed, the class 92 are used a bit more than originally planned for the line north of Trondheim to #Steinkjer/ #Stjørdal.

  10. #DB 🇩🇪 dual-voltage electric 181.001 is seen here at a railfan event at #Koblenz #Lützel in May 2006. This loco was built in 1966 and was able to operate under 15kV AC 16 2/3 Hz catenary (in #Germany 🇩🇪) and 25kV 50 Hz AC (parts of #France 🇫🇷 and #Luxembourg 🇱🇺), thus avoiding a locomotive change at the border.

    Jag har bott i en 5a på 110kvm byggd 1960-tal, totalt ytrenoverad 2019 innan vi flyttade in, hyra 12400kr/mån. inkl. 25kvm uteplats.

    Vad får man för #bostadsrätt i Stockholm för 23000/mån?
