@jwildeboer indeed moving data to EU based entities might sound like a good move, but Eurocentrism is not the solution. Folks need to understand that this is not a silver bullet and it is a a bit more complicated than that. The solution(s) needs a wider discussion of all parties that are Values Alligned. The only thing that is sure is that we need to Rise Against Big Tech (#rabt) together.

@civictech thanks for for sharing these opportunities. Apologies if we are being 'that guy', but would be great if you could avoid tech infrastructure like g docs fro. big tech corporations that have a long list of malpractices in place. #rabt. Lots of respect for your work though.

@anotherfami @recordrebel @phu that does not sound like a problem, but a solution to keep control over your data and community. Big tech platforms change their policies all the time and you don't have much saying when this happens. When you don't pay for it you are the product. We are obviously biased, but there are lots of other nice managed hosting small entities out there. You also don't feed the 'beast'. It is like buying from small local shops instead of a super market #RABT
