@MichaelWhelan I love #Pern, and Anne McCaffrey's dragons so much. Thanks for doing a great illustration of Ruth and Jaxom! It's great to see one of my favorite book's cover artist on here. Thanks!

CW: Spoilers for Star Trek book Warp Your Own Way
Since *Warp Your Own Way* won the Hugo Award, I tried the book. It's fun, but I've gotten stuck.
I went through all the choices, but every path ends with Beckett not knowing the Prefix Code (duh!). I made a map of all the paths using Obsidian, but haven't seen anything I've missed. I see lots of pages with stuff I haven't found.
Has anyone finished the book, to a success instead of a failure?

@mbrdev I think you're asking the wrong question. It's not about the distro. It's about what window manager you want to use. The big ones are: #KDEPlasma (what I like), #GNOME, and #cinnamon. Smaller ones (but still good) include #XFCE, #MATE, #LXDE, and #LXQT. Then there are the people who want a tiling window manager like #i3 or #sway. Any of these could work on your preferred distro.
Maybe you should start a poll.

How bad a person am I?
My native #language is English. I tried learning foreign languages in school, but my brain hated it. (conversely I'm very good at computer languages). So I can't read other languages. Other people post their in their native languages and it shows up on my feed. To curate my feed I've been #muting people who post in languages I don't read. How bad a person am I for doing this?
In no way am I upset that people are posting in other languages.

@Bad I play #StarRealms, and there's some terminology that's confusing between the two. You might want to consider using similar terms. E.g. changing "base" to "health", and "structure" to "base". Using "base" in a different way may be confusing for players coming over from Star Realms.

@statsguy Does the UK have #CreditUnions? Sounds like you need an institution that works FOR you.

@Palaeojules If you like dragons, try reading some #Pern books by Anne McCaffrey. They're the heroes.

One thing about #SciFi stories that greatly affects their plots is the way they implement faster than light travel (FTL). Think about the differences between warp drive (#StatTrek), jumpgates (#Babylon5), guild navigators (#Dune), skip drive (#OldMansWar).

They should make alternatives to the "Hello, my name is ..." stickers that say "Ask me about ...". You could wear them any day with your hobby on it. It would encourage spontaneous conversations. "Ask me about The Fediverse".
Or, it could be used as a warning of what *not* to ask about, because obviously this person can talk about the topic for hours. "Ask me about Arch Linux".

Agatha settles down with both Gil and Tarvek in Mechanicsburg. She's taken to modeling some of Tarvek's more racy sartorial designs. The castle tries to make waffles that Tarvek likes, but never manages it. Krosp has left to the Japanese island full of cats and has a comfortable life. Martellus has fallen down a bottomless pit and is coming up with a new version of calculus out of boredom.
