  2. @therobburgessshow I keep it at Mastodon because Mastodon is good for why I joined Twitter in the first place: following the tech crowds.

#CounterSocial: seems a lot emptier than Mastodon and their Desktop UI look like several mobile feeds side by side. It's hard to look at.

    #Tribel: I don't hear enough about them.

#Spoutible: I like the guy behind it Chris Bouzy. When I went on, it was empty but, I have heard before there is too much gatekeeping and it is like a hivemind in the same vein as Truth Social.

#PostNews: I don't hear a lot about that one but, I heard it had become primarily a news aggregator ran by bots. I just heard that and never tried to get on it.

#Blackplanet: It definitely isn't what it used to be and, there is limited engagement on posts.

All in all, I appreciate how many social media sites were built in response to Elon's takeover of #birdsite but, there can only be but so many to have engagement.

  20. Our paper on "Teaching Low-Code Development with BESSER", co-authored with Iván Alfonso, has been accepted to the Educators Symposium at #MODELS'25 conference.

This paper analyzes the results from a survey on the challenges of teaching low-code (discussed here: lnkd.in/eNx-cy8X) and proposes an educational framework composed of three main components:

    ▪ BESSER, an open-source low-code platform tailored for teaching and experimentation.

    ▪ The #lowcode #handbook that presents core concepts in low-code development, covering trends, techniques, tools, and modeling languages: lnkd.in/ew438JFV

    ▪ A set of instructional materials to support educators, including hands-on laboratory modules and lecture slides (available upon request).

A pre-print of the paper will be available soon.
