Has anyone been watching #chimpcrazy on HBO Max? This show is insane! I can't believe what I'm watching. Just finished the second episode and I am like 👇

Now with both banks of drop targets with brand new decals! #pinrepair #pinball #blackknight2000
-
Did some cleaning of the drop target mechanisms this evening, the one on the right was going down slowly. It had some kind of dried out lubricant all over it. Cleaned everything with IPA and rebuilt it all, replaced the decals with new ones in the process. New springs too, now it works like a charm! #pinrepair #pinball #BlackKnight2000

The whole story of #VirginOrbit is such a massive shame. Look how hopeful this video was, the possibilities were endless. New jobs were to be created, new science and technology careers for young people would come to #Cornwall. For generations anyone wanting to follow a technical career had to leave. Maybe now things would start to change? Then on 9 January 2023 the first launch from Newquay failed to reach orbit. Game over. They later declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy on 4 April 2023. Sad times 😔

Dear #reteogaming #retrocomputing tooters; I recently got these two Philips CRTs. The Anubis and the Discoverer. Both work well but have faulty remote controls (might be able to fix them). Do you know; are Philips TVs like Sony in that they kept the IR communication standard the same over time and a modern remote would still work on these older models of TV?

Have just been given this #ZXSpectum to repair, needs a new keyboard membrane, a recap and a good clean. Will be getting a lot of help from @_B_

Here's a nice video about the European #CanSat Competition which took place at the end of June near Granada, Spain https://youtu.be/utw38oR11XU
-
If you are located in Europe, an ESA member country, it is likely there already is a national CanSat competition happening annually in your country that you can register your school/college/university for. The event I was at was the European final, run by @esa in collaboration with a local rocketry operator. The winners of the various national competitions earn the right to join the European final #CanSat

Somethimes you get a parachute failure, which often leads to something like this. Unlucky! #CanSat
-
At this point, once everything has landed the teams are allowed to go out onto the field to collect their CanSats. This is how you find them on the ground #CanSat
-
What you see here is the parachute for the rocket falling, if you look closely you can also spot a few of the CanSats coming back down #CanSat
-
And here's what a launch looks like, after about 4 seconds the CanSats are ejected #CanSat
-
The receptacle is then loaded into the rocket body, the nose cone (containing a parachute so the rocket can be reused) is installed and the whole thing is moved to safe distance where the solid rocket motor can be installed. For reference these are Sentinel mkII commercial rockets, they have 445N thrust, 6.5G max acceleration with a burn time of 3.7 seconds. The teams have to build their CanSat to accommodate these forces #CanSat
-
Here's a close up with 3 of the 4 slots holding a CanSat which is about to be launched. Notice the parachutes all face in the same direction #CanSat
-
This is one of the rockets being prepared for launch, you can see there is a receptacle where 4 CanSats can be placed #CanSat

@Raspberry_Pi Congratulations folks! So many new features! We could make an #AstroPi with two cameras on a single unit. But I'm wondering how the 16nm die would fare on board the ISS. Looks like quite a hefty chunk of metal on the top of the AP so that combined with a flight case itself might be enough. We would probably need to get one inside a chamber and bombard it to know.

Hi folks, can anyone sign post me towards where the #Jamma #arcade restoration people hang out on here? I'm working on restoring a suicided original of Pang. Battery is still there, hasn't leaked, thankfully! But is measuring 0.28V so I can probably confidently say it's dead and we've lost the content of the ram chip.

Yeah, It has been a long time I didn't upload a single drawing since school and work.
But now I get to make my character for a DnD seasion.
This little fella, despice looking tough, he is reather goofy and also kind. Even tho he may or may not be doing some mischiefs just for the sake of fun to their friends.#MastoArt #Digital_Art ,#Dnd, #Dungeons_and_Dragons, #Tanuki, #Furry, #Furry_Antho, #furry_art, #wakizashi, #Japanese_Sword, #sniper_rifle
