One of the best things to come from the fall in house prices will be the reduced profits of estate agents. These grifters have been living on easy street for decades with revenues growing on the back of soaring house prices and profitability rises from increased automation. Back in the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s we used Economy 7 to reduce bills through off-peak electricity. It was a sensible, popular idea in a more sensible age. Today my #energy company doesn’t even offer it to new customers. Instead they send me a meaningless messgage with a chart to #nudge me. If ever there was an example of dumb politicans and greedy businesses pushing us backwards, this is it.
