And then there are those who spend two years or more thinking the entire Fediverse is a 500-character microblogging service, and who shit brix in sheer terror and hammer on the block button in sheer panic whenever a "toot" with more than 500 characters shows up in their timeline.
And, of course, those who try hard to force Mastodon's culture and Mastodon's rules, both of which are geared towards Mastodon and Mastodon only, upon users of server applications that are very very much not Mastodon. Because they think that Mastodon culture = Fediverse culture. And who, at the same time, fight everyone who suggests they do something that isn't inline with their perception of Mastodon's culture and rules.

Het is zo droevig wat er in de VS gebeurt. Honderdduizenden die hun baan verloren, belangrijke instituties opgedoekt, decennia aan ervaring weg, miljoenen voor wie, net zoals degenen in dit artikel, noodzakelijke ondersteuning wegvalt.
Een totaal gebrek aan empathy. Men verandert pas van mening wanneer het familieleden raakt.
Wat we nu zien, maakt hopelijk voor miljoenen over de hele wereld het belang van deelnemen aan verkiezingen weer duidelijk.

Die liebe Tara Wolfzahn auf Insta hat meine Verlosung gewonnen, sodass ich ihren neuen #DSA Charakter skizzieren durfte: Lirion Schattenpfad!
Eigentlich war nur ein Charakter für die Skizze angedacht, aber als ich von Lirions Begleiter „Fuchs“ gelesen habe, musste er einfach auch mit aufs Bild. 😍

Das ist einer der Filme, die so alt sind, dass sie schon wieder radikal modern wirken. Vor hundert Jahren(!) gedreht, noch mitten in der Stummfilmzeit, und doch – alles andere als stumm. Buster Keaton hat noch keine Dialoge gebraucht, um von Chaos, Liebe, Klassenkampf und Männlichkeitskrise gleichzeitig zu erzählen. Nur sein Körper hat gesprochen und vor allem sein Gesicht. Oooh, I'm all excited!
This week THU the venturers section of a local scout group (Beachhaven) is doing a #freediving session with me in a local pool. It'll be geared towards general water safety, particularly with respect to spear fishing (very common here). It took quite a bit of effort to get that across the line with the pool, but we've got a very good safety concept documented and agreed for it. The kids in the group are already very excited (just like me). They should be able to tick quite a few boxes for their next water safety badge requirements, too.
I've got hopes that the odd one may get into it and join our club (for more comprehensive training). And that we can pull this off for more sessions in the future too.
I'm also keen to get a picture of me doing a DNF (dynamics no fins) dive wearing my Mayfield scarf over my wet suit, too. :-D

Getting back into #dayz and I love it. I fucking love this game man. No other game comes close to what it provides.
Last time I seriously played was about 6 months ago and ran into a stranger, traded a knife for some water and then we just took off together. Played for 3 or so hours before finally getting jumped by a bunch of super geared dudes.
What’s fun is it’s been long enough that I don’t fully have memory of where to go from each spawn zone, so it feels fresh again.
