  1. With all the holiday shopping and gatherings, please, Please, PLEASE continue to #MaskUp #SocialDistance and #WashYourHands

I've had both my flu and #Covid boosters, but that won't stop other seasonal sicknesses.
In my store alone we've had 7 call-ins this week for a nasty stomach bug, and I just watched a girl get sent home after getting sick.
Never so glad to still be wearing my mask.

I've only been a #ElectionWorker for the last two years, but have found it to be a fun and positive experience.
Just before I started, my county had switched from the big heavy Voter Rolls books to sleek, fast, light & secure PolPads.
Some older voters balk at signing in digitally, but the veteran workers all agree they're way better!
I'm looking forward to returning next year!

(Also, our county leads send us trivia ?s throughout the day& I've won treats for my fellow workers every time, lol)

  3. My Mum sent me this earlier& asked me to share it with any other Election Workers I know. #ElectionWorker

  4. @yuhline
I'm a NYS #ElectionWorker so I'll be at my local site at 530 to set up before doors open, then spend the day checking voters in, handing out ballots(and stickers), and finally tearing down after polls close& going home to watch Kornacki, lol.

  5. @Leefromphilly
Lee, Is this your first time as an #ElectionWorker ?
I'm in the midst of my 2nd year as an Election Inspector. My experiences have been mostly positive& I've enjoyed helping people. You will likely have other seasoned vets working alongside you if you get nervous or have questions. You got this!

"In practice, Republicans assume — correctly — that the American legislative process wouldn’t help them achieve their goals, because their priorities are regressive and deeply unpopular. So they’re settling on a new plan: circumvent their country’s existing system and get what they want by creating a hostage crisis."

Republicans have been salivating at the idea of eradicating Social Security and Medicare for decades. They'll happily hold the economy hostage to achieve their goals. And once they do, they'll turn around and blame President Biden for the havoc they've wreaked.
The only way to stop them is to

It's not too late to contact your local Board of Elections and sign up!

  9. #MidtermElections are exactly two months away! If you've ever thought about becoming an #ElectionWorker this is a great time to sign up!

Many states have already begun scheduling training sessions for new and returning workers. (I just got my reminder letter in the mail today!)

The US Elections Assistance Commission has a handy dandy state-by-state lookup tool to find information on being a poll worker in your community, including requirements, hours, pay, training, and more. Links are provided so you can sign up directly with your state or local election office!

    #NewYork don't forget you have #PrimaryElections today!
This is your chance to decide who represents your party on the November ballot!
Double check your district, because some have primaries for only one party or the other.
You can look up you district information and candidates on ballotpedia.org/Main_Page

  11. @MariaHill
Nope. Not a single one. Earlier I was looking up the Republican candidates for the NY24 primary -each one more pro-TFG, pro-gun, anti-choice, anti-humanity than the last.

I've got my pick for the Dem primary& look forward to helping campaign for them this fall.

  13. 'No way to prevent this.' Says only nation where this regularly happens.

This has been the headline of The Onion after a mass shooting 21 times since 2014.

We know how to prevent it. We need to vote the GQP/NRA gun cultists out of office in order to pass the kinds of laws that will save lives.

#VoteForDemocrats -they won't try to kill you.

Good morning! To everyone who voted in primary elections yesterday, thank you!
    If your candidate won -congrats!
    If not, I'm sorry.

With that being said, now the real work begins in your states. It's time to set aside our differences of opinion& work together to get the Democrat nominations into office.

Do you think many Republicans will give up and stay home just because Cawthorn or Oz didn't get their nomination? No such luck, gang.

I was not a fan of President Biden originally. He wasn't even in my top 5. But when he got the nomination, I put :100: behind him, and damn he's done a lot of good!

We're all in this together. We have to remember that and act accordingly.

    Stefanik voted against:
    -Domestic Violence Protection
    -Child Tax Credits
    -Affordable Insulin
    -Freedom to Vote
    -Infrastructure
    -Women's Health Protection
    -Protecting Older Workers From Discrimination
    -January 6th Investigation
    -DC Statehood
    -Paycheck Fairness
    -American Dream& Promise Act
    -Enhanced Background Checks
    -The Heroes Act
    -Strength in Diversity Act

    What did she vote for?
-Carrying Concealed Weapons Across State Lines
-Introduced the Second Amendment Guarantee Act to override the NYS SAFE Act
-Voted to remove silencers from firearm regulation(SHUSH Act)

She's not working to help Americans or keep them safe. She IS very worried about representing guns, though -it's a shame for her that guns don't vote. The only replacement she should be worrying about is the constituents of NY21 replacing her at the ballot box.

On those days when the clouds part and the sun shines, take the time to enjoy the light and warmth. Don't spent the day over analysing why the sun is out or trying to predict when the clouds will return.
Yes, the clouds will be back, at some point, for a time, they may be mild or rough, but the sun comes back too! Why waste a good day waiting for the bad to return?
    Hope this helps someone!

Oh, you mean her occasional my vote won't actually affect the outcome either way so my party is allowing me to vote with Dems for the sake of appearances vote. I call that her PR vote.
Her other classic is the VanPelt vote - where she spends days& weeks wringing her hands, clutching her pearls& making wish-washy sound bites that make it seem like she'll vote against party -until the votes are counted.
I think these are the only two moves Susan has, though I'd love to see Massachusetts voters teach her a new one- #GTFO
