I nerdsniped myself. I'd love help making this good. What I have now is a proof of concept. Also I don't know Python, not really! I'm a C# developer!

Hello #Fediverse! Time for a proper #Introduction.
I’m a hobbyist developer and engineer (outside the tech industry) who loves building tools for education and personal use. I’m currently focused on:
🐍 #Python & #Django – Working through a 30-day library challenge right now!
💻 #Linux – Running #Fedora on my System76 laptop.
🏠 #HomeLab – Managing an #OpenMediaVault setup on a Ugreen DXP2800, plus lots of #Docker and #Portainer tinkering.
🗺️ #Geospatial – Exploring data science projects.
Current Projects:
DITS: A custom issue tracker application.
Devnexus: A lite weight TUI issue and pull request application
mgl_website: My MickGeekLabs.org website and blog
Byte_Board_Blog: My personal blog project.
Pushing code to my local #Gitea (MickGeekLabs) and GitHub.
When I’m not debugging, I’m likely hanging out with my 16-year-old ginger tabby cat. 🐈
Looking forward to connecting with the #SelfHosted, #Python, and #Dev community here!

Pulled an all-nighter last night (first time in who knows how many years!) trying to figure out why my #Mastodon email was not working. Turns out it was a "cast" issue in the email_configuration_helper.rb file that kept forcing enable_starttts_auto to true.
So, I'm not a developer and I don't know what the process is to submit a fix to the Mastodon developers. I certainly don't want to go commit a change myself when I don't know what I'm doing. Suggestions?

Yesterday I work most of the day in implementing #newsgroups #articles #threading support on #UsenetReborn updated the main branch and the image, let me know what you think.

Re-introduction time after migrating servers. I'm a web developer in central Illinois and a graduate of Northern Illinois University. I have been interested in weather my whole life and have been recording weather data at my home for over three decades. I also write about the weather.

Even though I'm a backend developer I've got to keep abreast of some frontend stuff so that I can lend my general developer brain to designing or advising or fixing things wherever it happens, and it looks like I've now got to get up to speed on #Preact and #TailWind and #WebPack for the next phase of work. That'll keep me busy for a bit.

I started adding #C2S #proxy_url support for #GoActivityPub services and it looks like it's easier than I imagined it initially.
On the server side, implementing the proxyURL handler doesn't need any new additions as it shares 90% code with other handlers that return #ActivityPub objects.
On the client side, I'm creating a new http.RoundTripper that can use the proxyURL transparently for the caller.
As a developer in your client code you only do a regular request for a remote URL, and the round-tripper handles the proxying part transparently if it has all the available bits: a server that supports proxyURL and a valid OAuth2 session towards that server.

Hello #Fediverse! 👋
I’m a software developer based in Lundar, Manitoba 🇨🇦, building #TheCoin, a climate-fintech project that flips the math on #ClimateAction.
Politics and corporate goodwill struggle to address the climate crisis, personal action is hard to scale. That's why I built TheCoin, a system to reward individuals and fund climate projects through verified #offsets.
Looking forward to meeting the #ClimateTech, #Fintech, and #BuildInPublic communities here! 🌍

I'm not a professional programmer but I got to give my first ever presentation to a developer audience last week at the Seattle Rust User Group.
It is a talk for Rust beginners and a story about what I learned by porting my friend's 2004 Tetris / Mega Man 2 mash up game from Python 2.3 to Rust for a surprise on his birthday.

#introduction - just here to learn what all the fuss is about. Would be good if this place is nicer than the one that has been taken over by the not so pleasant, interfering, v.rich chap.
I'm a software developer (#Microsoft tech) but I tend to post more about #Cymru #Cymraeg #ActiveTravel and travel policy in general & related areas of #RoadCrime #Sustainability #ClimateCrisis Also #Politics - #GeneralElectionNow #Annibyniaeth
All based on #experts & #evidence

What #css frameworks do you use?
https://github.com/troxler/awesome-css-frameworks
I use #tachyons and it gets the job done. But they have not released any new release in long long time. It is simple and easy to understand and use (I find #tailwindcss difficult to understand and seems overly complex)
Since tachyons has not been upgraded for long, I am looking for another framework to use. What would you suggest?
(I'm a backend developer; My needs for css frameworks are pretty minimal)

Rotational greetings, all. Here's an #introduction
I'm a #software #developer, one of the founders of The Apache Software Foundation #apache #asf #apachehttpd, ex-DECcie #DEC #digitalequipmentcorporation, ex-IBMer, ex-RedHatter, and passionate about treating people fairly and writing code. Just trying out Mastodon now that Twitter's biome (#digiome? #electrome?) has started getting musky.
Oh, and I'm also ND, have a very literal sense of humor, and joke about just about everything.

Hi!
I'm Adrian, a FullStack #Developer looking for a job either in #Québec (or from it if you allow for remote work). I already have a permanent and open visa
I have experience building and maintaining web apps and APIs, designing systems, doing #DevOps and a bit of #BigData, #MachineLearning and #IoT
I'm experienced using #Elixir, #Phoenix, #LiveView, #NodeJS, #TypeScript, #Fastify, #Express and #Python ; and on the DevOps side in CI/CD pipelines (either #GithubActions and Gitlab CI/CD), #Docker and a bit of #Kubernetes
I was tasked with a lot of the #innovation happening in my previous company, researching tools, librairies, patterns or general technologies either for our own #DeveloperExperience or for our products
I also wrote a lot of technical and non technical documentation and internal presentations, and even participated in a few meetups. You can read some of my writing on my blog: https://blog.adrianc.eu
You might also have seen me on a few Elixir-related Discord servers, or even Bluesky (@adrianc.eu) and Twitter ; either sharing tech news, helping people, reading in book clubs or just chatting
I’m open to full-time right now, contracting work can be discussed.
I'm looking for any developer position, not only #ElixirLang, even though it represents most of my experience. And if the technology you're using isn't on my resume, give me a chance! I'm a fast learner and I might anyway have studied it in class :P
DM me for more info, like github link, my resume or anything :)
Boosts, responses and DM welcome, of course!
#MyElixirStatus #FediJobs #FediJob #FediGetHired #OpenToWork
EDIT: I already have a visa, it was not super clear before 😅

#introduction post. I'm a software developer, originally with a background in math. I mostly program in #python, #bash and #javascript, though also dabble in #prolog. I'm slowly teaching myself #BayesianStatistics. I'm a maintainer of the Parsimonious Python parsing library.

The crazy part is that I'm not a developer. I could not create a new tool for #XrmToolBox since I'm just a #lowcode guy.
But with AI coding tools like Lovable and Claude Code, I was able to "vibe it". A modern React site on top of an OData feed from the main XrmToolBox site. No private data stored, not much of a risk in visualizing it with the help of LLMs.
Technically, I'm sure there are gaps and things to be tweaked. But getting this out there is pretty awesome.💪

Hi! 👋🏻 My name is Akbar (or @gasiyu around the Internet).
I'm a software developer in Indonesia and really into software stuff. I also enjoy blogging, even though my blog's been gathering digital dust for a while now. 😅
I'm into a bunch of stuff like #KotlinMultiplatform, #AndroidDev, #IoT, and #IndieWeb. When I'm not coding, you can catch me vibing to music, binge-watching anime or K&C-dramas, reading manga or books, or just chilling out on my Stardew Valley farm!
This platform is going to be my go-to spot for sharing blog posts, daily updates, and all the cool stuff I come across.
I'm always open to connecting with everyone, so don't hesitate to reach out anytime!

@wervice this doesn't really fit with your four hashtags, but here goes …
A few days ago I began using a web app that works well, in a desktop environment, if stretched wide across two HD displays. The stretch must be careful, for the black borders of the two displays to not fall in the middle of a column.
The app is more difficult to use on a smaller display, in the same desktop environment, because the developers chose to use a ridiculously shallow horizontal scroll bar. I might attempt to fix this, for myself, with CSS, however I'm not a developer (I really don't know what I'm doing with CSS). Moreover, I shouldn't be forced to hack something as basic, as essential, as a scroll bar. It's excruciatingly poor UX.
The same web app is, in some ways, much easier to use (in Firefox) on a small Apple iPad, because I can use my finger to swipe horizontally.
