After what happened to @kathygriffin I decided to rename by #birdverse user name to **Elong Tusk** in honor of my new home here in the #Fediverse … but also because the place seems be run by a petulant toddler 🙄

I thought I'd share a couple of my early #retrogaming contributions from 1985 or so. I worked on both of these after high school, when I was renting a room in my friend Paul's house. Paul did most of the coding while I did the graphics.
I'm particularly happy with the sprite drop effect in The Key Factor which I lovingly borrowed from an Atari game called DropZone 😇

We just got back from the bar and reeling from the Damar Hamlin news... and I come home to find out Ken Block died? This year already sucks. I loved Ken’s #Gymkhana videos, particular the EV collab with Audi. Still can’t process it. https://www.motortrend.com/news/ken-block-dies-snowmobile-accident/

Quite happy with how my Christmas baking came out … Lebkuchen gingerbread cookies and Stollen fruitcake. Every year it gets a little better. Merry Christmas! #christmasbaker #diabeetusintensifies

In looking for mobile clients for Mastodon, I was surprised many had not been updated in a year. Tooot seemed to be the exception, and I’m loving it so far. It feels a little quirky, but I’m realizing it’s a good reflection of the platform ☺️
I also suspect that the ongoing implosion of the #birdverse and mass exodus here may drive the devs to rev their apps — that can only be a win for us
